Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
A moment later he was back with a cup full of water in one hand and a green bag in the other. He offered her the cup with a smile, "You should probably take something for it."

Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"I had some things that were going to be used as supplies. Normal things for wounds and such. I have some antidotes for poison, a few elixirs that are supposed to combat the strength of diseases. This is to fortify your body against further infection and this one here is pretty useless for this situation." He looked up at the girl and offered a reassuring grin.
"I can also just make you something, too."

Oh, wait. Exactly.
He strolled over to the bed and fluffed the girl's pillows as best as he could before heading off to retrieve a wet cloth. With that in hand he pointed to his friend, "Lay on your back, get comfortable and let me tuck you in." He would just prepare the concoction and let it brew while he fussed over the little details of getting her comfortable.

Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"Oh yeah. I was always read a story when I was sick. Did your father do that for you, too Ronnae?" He said, all smiles.

Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
It was always hard for him to gauge how people would react to simple questions but everyone seemed even more sensitive and on edge than even back in Azeroth. Considering his knack for saying exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time he figured he would probably earn the ire of many a crew member. Oh well. This was his friend so at least she warranted an apology.
"Sorry," he hastily said, "What I meant to say was that I was going to read you a bedtime story!" He eyed her room and reached for an interesting looking book on the shelf before sitting down in one of the chairs. He opened it, flipped a few pages into it and cleared his throat.
Who did you think you were fooling, Nokosi? He wasn't even holding the book right-side up and there was clearly a picture on the cover of a Goblin and Gnome in mechanical units, fighting.

Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"Hey, don't be sad. Everyone is going to be really happy that you saved them when we get back."
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"So...once upon a time..." He paused to think, then nodded, "two friends were walking through the desert. At one point in the journey they had an argument and one friend slapped the other in the face. The friend who got slapped was hurt but didn't say anything. Instead in the sand they wrote 'Today my best friend slapped me in the face.'
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"They walked until they found an oasis and they went to take a bath. The friend who had been slapped got trapped in a patch of thick, deep mud and started drowning, but his friend saved him. After his friend recovered from almost drowning, he wrote on a stone; 'Today my best friend saved my life.'
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"The one who had both slapped and saved his friend stopped the man and asked, 'When I hurt you, you wrote in the sand, but now you write on stone. Why is that?"
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
Re: Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos
"The other friend looked at him and smiled before responding. 'When someone hurts us we should write it down in the sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
He closed the book and put it on his lap; still upside down, too. "The end!"
