Ronnie smiled. Continuing her tune with a warm expression. She caressed his back soothingly as she brushed his hair with care. She wanted him to get better, and she wanted him to be happy.

To his credit, Billy only sniffled a little. The pills really were starting to kick in!

He sagged more heavily against her as exhaustion started to claim him. "...thanks Ronnie," came another whisper when he thought to use his strength to get the words out, as inadequate to describe his feelings as they were.

Ronnie interrupted the soothing tune to make a small shushing sound. "Just rest Billy. You know I'm here for you okay?"

She held him against her chest in a protective manner, allowing him to rest against her. She continued the soothing caress of his back and hair.

Billy started to nod, then realized that it might not be the brightest idea considering the current location of his head. Soon enough, the pain and discomfort faded into a sweet slumber.

She's dealt with snorer's, it's like being back home. "Sleep well lo-... Billy..." She blushed and held him the rest of the night. Every now and then humming the lullaby.
