THE
SICK MEME

Post your character, one-ish per comment
They are now, for some odd reason, sick (headache, fever, runny nose, cough, whatever you want)
Another character replies and is struck with the sudden urge to take care of them (bringing them soup, extra blankets, Sudafed, sexual healing, what have you)
???
Profit!

Why you is because you made a wizard angry, that's why you. Everyone else just gets the normal flu, but you? Nope. You have to go that extra mile.

[Now over his initial shock, and having found out that it'll reverse itself when she's better, he's in mother hen mode. He can't help with the magical shrinking part, but he can help with the flu part.]

Always have to outdo everyone, don't you.

[And he's done a nice job of mother henning so far. He made a tiny little bed to rest on their bedside table, by bundling up his vest. He's also made a blanket out of a handkerchief. Carefully scooping her up, he tucks her in.]

[Her reaction at being scooped up involuntarily is what you might expect: stubborn wiggling, (Hey, hey watch those fingers!) unease of the height, desperately clinging at his thumb as he totes her to the makeshift bed. And face aflush, she frowns, casting a half-lidded and disgruntled, feeble stare.]

"I resent that. You make it sound like I purposely did this to myself." [It's a petite mutter from a small voice, but it can still be heard clearly.]

[There are no further complaints with tucking her in, though once settled against the furs, her face pinkens under the flush of her fever adorning her cheeks. His scent is all over this thing. While.. while it's not exactly unpleasant, but... guh. Hiccup, when was the last time you had this washed, anyway.]

Not purposefully, no, but then who purposefully makes a wizard angry.

[He has a thimble. He got it from Rein, the clothier, and he tips a cup of water--yes, actual water, not from a needle--into it to fill it. He had to bargain with Stacy for it, pointing out that there was no way at this sigh that Astrid could get one of the water-needles, and she'd need to drink plenty of fluids to get better. He hands the thimble of water to her careflly pinched between his fingers, and then puts the glass on one of the other tables in the room so it won't get knocked over on her.]

Drink up.

[He gets a resolute and indignant huff for that. She gratefully takes the thimble (my, how resourceful these little items truly are) with both miniature hands and sips the water before pulling it away from her lips, wiping her mouth with her forearm and her shoulders drooping.]

If the village saw me now I'd surely be a laughing stock. I'm pretty sure this has never happened to the most worthless of Vikings.

[Sighing, then added morosely.]

Fran would just want to eat me...

Yeah, it never happened to me before, so you're right on that one.

[Not that he's worthless now, it's just...he had his worthless days.]

And I think you'd be too small for her to even notice. Not even a mouthful.

[She narrows eyes, withholding a pout.] Not helping.

[Then closing her eyes and lifts the thimble back to her mouth, speaking behind the rim.] Clearly you misunderstand how good her senses are. [EXCUSE HER, SOME OF US DON'T HAVE A COOL NIGHT FURY.]

And you never know — I could be scrumptious.

[Like a tic tac.]
