Not makin' it worse. Just...distractin'.

[ But she starts closing the panel up anyhow, damn those puppy eyes.

Oh, but that roll didn't feel too good. ]

...there a bucket nearby?

[Uh oh. That definitely looks bad.]

Affirmative!

[And he's off to the races, skidding around a corner and picking one up, thrusting it into her hands. He's standing by, ready to hold her hair if he needs to.]

I'm here, just do what you need to.

[ Her head disappears into the bucket, and stays there for a long few minutes. When she finally pulls back, slightly less green, she wipes at her mouth with her sleeve. And here she thought the slop couldn't be any worse than when it went down.

There's a pause to make sure nothing else is going to come up before she slides the bucket away and goes to stand. ]

Distractin', as in takin' the mind off things. Didn't work.

[Great. Billy holds her hair back through it all, offering her a cloth when it's over.]

It'll be all right. Come on, do you want to rest in medbay?

[ She takes the cloth gratefully, and leans against the wall while she cleans up. ]

You gonna give me a choice otherwise?

Your other option is going to Serenity, or any closer location with a bed that you can think of.

[He shuffles around the corner to dispose of the bucket's contents, then gently takes her arm.]

[ His help is appreciated, in any case, and Kaylee leans on him a bit more than she wants to realize, one hand over her stomach in an attempt to keep it settled. ]

Medbay's fine for now.

[He'll ignore that.]

All right, just lean on me. We'll be there soon enough.

[And it's only a short walk, hooray! He guides her to a bed near the entrance.]

Do you want the medicine now, or something else? Crackers? Fluffier pillows?

[ A short walk that feels like forever when you don't know whether you're going to fall over at any second or not. Kaylee's almost happy to slide onto the bed. ]

Better stomach?

I wish I could get that for you directly, but I think we'll have to start with the medicine for that.

[Unfortunately it comes in pill form. He mops at her head, then gathers that and some water.]

This dissolves quickly enough that it should take effect even if your stomach rebels again.

[ She wrinkles her nose, but takes the pill anyhow. It goes down easy enough, though her stomach does give another unpleasant roll. ]

Hope so. Hate this.

I know, I didn't like it either.

[He kneels by the bed and rubs her arm comfortingly.]

Let me know if you want to try food.

[ Ew no shaking her head at that one. ]

Rather not. Got a feelin' it'd be a waste.

All right, then I'll make you comfortable.

[He sets about tucking the covers in, having had some practice at this.]

I'll stay until you've rested, then head back and finish up that work.

[ Kaylee shivers and settles almost eagerly into the blankets. ]
