[ Which is probably why she isn't intimidated at all by one. :\ ]

'M fine. Almost done.

[What the freaking hell, woman!? He grumped, and reached for her. But her determined look back made him sigh, and wipe a hand in front of his face.]

Look, I'll help you, but then you gotta go rest, got it?

Yep.

[ Maybe. She really isn't good at this lying business...ever. But before Dean has a chance to protest she's back to fixing the regulator and trying to ignore the fact that she's shivering all over. ]

[He moved to take his jacket off, and placed it over her shoulders. Dean then came over to the side to check what else it needed to finish things up.]

I mean it. After this, it's home and bed.

Bed, fine.

[ She doesn't protest to the jacket, and it does help with some of the shivering. Focus goes toward finishing the job, though a good portion of it is letting Dean do it. Her hands aren't working like they normally do. ]

[Which only proves his point, even if he feels a little guilty she caught his bug. A few minutes pass as he frowns with concentration on the machinery.]

...There that should about do it.

Alright. Just gotta double-check it...

[ This bed thing is getting put off as long as she can manage it, sorry Dean. And she'll smack him if she gets wind of that guilt bit. ]

Sunshine, it's fine. C'mon home.

[He starts tugging her away again.]

Just a quick check, won't hurt anythin'.

[ She's just going to pout...which really comes off as more of a grimace as her stomach turns, but yes. Pouting. ]

You got a minute and then we're going.

[He will carry her, though gently since he did notice the grimace.]

[ She is dragging this minute out as long as she can manage. There's only so much she can check over three or four times before it's a bit obvious that she's just stalling for time. ]

[Yeah he knows what she's doing, and he's tired of it. She needed to go rest before she passed out. So Dean came closer to gather her carefully into his arms.]

[ There's a small moment where she starts to protest, but realizes there's really no point in it. Instead, she leans into Dean--he's nice and warm, it isn't hard--and tries not to put her face anywhere near his neck for him to feel how warm she really is. Like the heat isn't radiating straight through her clothes anyhow. ]

[He frets some as he carries Kaylee because he could feel the fever radiating from her all over.]

Aw baby, let's get you back.

[ And this fretting this is exactly why she's been telling people she's fine. Not a fan of the fretting.

But now that she's not standing or walking, it's a lot easier for her to feel how exhausted she really is, and how the motion of Dean's walking isn't so nice as it might normally be...

She covers her mouth with her hand. ]

Dean, need a basin...

Crap! Hang on!

[He grabbed a bucket, and dumped the bolts out to the side before setting her down so she could make use of it.]

[ She doesn't quite make it, and there's a little bit of a mess outside the bucket (and possibly on Dean). When she finishes a few minutes later she just kind of slumps against the wall.

This is miserable. ]

Aw baby.

[He'd be grossed out, but right now he's more worried about Kaylee. He cleaned up what he could, and his clean hand came up to stroke through her hair.]

It's fine, Kaylee. A bath will help with that fever anyway.

[ A small nod, and she slowly pushes herself back up. The sooner she takes a bath, the sooner she can crawl into a corner and die of embarrassment and miserableness. ]

Just lean on me then.

[Dean made sure she was well supported, and whispered reassurances to her quietly in her ear as he took them back to the house.]

[ She leans on him a lot more than she's willing to admit, and makes sure to thank him at least twice before they reach the house. Dean will take good care of her, she knows. All she can do is hope his shoes will wash off easily. ]
