[The Doctor kneels down next to her]

Really? I thought we'd had something there. Here.

[He reaches into his pocket and pulls out what looks like a piece of lint.]

Pop this in your mouth and see if it settles your stomach. There's a good girl.

[ Kaylee wrinkles her nose up at the piece of lint, but he probably won't leave her alone until she takes it. As slowly as possible, Kaylee puts it on her tongue--

--and promptly has to stop herself from gagging it back out. Oh god. Oh god, he's trying to poison her, isn't he? ]

[There's a split second where he thinks maybe that was the wrong pocket and he gave her plain lint. But the way it's start to sparkle in her mouth is saying otherwise. The Doctor leans forward]

Ancient Gringle remedy for seasickness. They never leave on a trip without one, you know. Last one I met was kind enough to give me some and Kaylee, you do have to swallow it.

Grimacing, Kaylee swallows the lint down and pulls another face. Like swallowing...lint. But she gives it a few seconds before really judging it, and it does seem to be helping a little. The Doctor receives a weak nod. ]

[ While he's busy with his pockets, Kaylee continues her slump down the railing. It's tempting, to just lay down right here and take a nap. Bit cold and drafty, though. She pulls her coveralls in closer and waits. ]
