He gets a kick out of Karis. He likes her. The way she acts about the whole undead thing has is making him think juuust a bit about what her feelings about undeath are, because he's so damn proud to be a demon and only laughs at the people who get all huffy about him and she seems to take it a personally.

He doesn't really agree with her on the whole military thing but that's a cultural difference -- demons don't HAVE a military, really, it's just 'the strongest guy is in charge'. He definitely thinks she'd be a really decent compatriot minion if she could just get over being so damn prickly and start playing along with the rest of the ship.

Starfire is.... really confusing to him. He doesn't understand her cheerfulness, her ability to be friends with him and still be all heroic, or... her in general, really.

Despite this, he likes her and he has no idea why.

He's SURE Tim is hiding something, but he has no idea what. It wouldn't ordinarily annoy him except Zetta thinks it's stupid to have secrets on the ship when everybody's supposed to be pitching in.

...Seriously, for all that they ran into each other for only a little while, he really wants to throw her in the mix with his apprentices and see what happens, because he has the feeling they would get along wonderfully. He LIKES her style.

Ronnae, seriously, stop trying to befriend the Overlord! Demons don't have friends! They only have loyal minions who, uh, he sometimes deigns to talk to like they were equals -- b-but that's just because of the ship! You're okay in Zetta's book.

Zetta also insists you get over your psychological flaws and weaknesses unreasonably quickly.

Hit Girl... Okay, Overlording is a serious thing, but you're just a bit TOO serious. Sure, you clearly enjoy yourself in the midst of battle, which is important, but you need to lighten up outside of it too.

Zetta really thinks she relies just a bit too much on him. It's like, what is he, a father figure? HE IS NOT OKAY WITH THAT, HIT GIRL. But... her talent needs to be cultivated and her strength harnessed. So Zetta will work with her no matter what. And THAT ought to be indication enough that the Overlord likes her, respects her a little, and actually cares ZETTA CARES ABOUT NO ONE, HE SAYS SO HIMSELF SO IT MUST BE TRUE.

In the Overlord's books, Astrid is a coy, saucy wench who's a bit of a tease but pretty faithful to her tribe when the chips are down. There's a part of him that's frankly alarmed at the thought of Pram the Oracle being like her her in a thousand years or so. He's more cautious around her than a lot of people, simply because he doesn't know how to manipulate her at all, and he has no idea what she can actually DO.

Katara... Honestly, Zetta has no idea why he likes hangs out with uh, does whatever it is in the depths of his twisted demonic mind he's doing with Katara. He thought that whole ice thing she did was pretty cool. And she understands enough not to call him on the fact that he's not really that bad a guy not talk up love and friendship a lot. Really, though... he doesn't know why he feels protective of her, and in classic Zetta fashion he solves the problem by ignoring it.

Zetta is convinced Nokosi is either a bigger idiot than King Drake The Third, or the biggest troll in the history of the cosmos. And he can't tell which.
