Okay, yes. Eva is a minor troll face and that makes her interesting to Eleven (and boy does he like interesting). But it's not her being sarcastic or sassy for the sake of it; he can figure out she's been through some extremely trying times, even if he doesn’t know her life story, and on one level, he’d like to help her. But he’s not going to hold her hand, either, so it’s more like giving her a few pushes and letting her stumble on her own. Overall his first impression is she’s a good person.
