While the darksoul fiasco was a little shocking, Ruff hasn't lost any cool points with Astrid. Ever since Hiccup became a hero, she's known Ruff has taken a... crazy fondness in her boy. Who can resist that raw Vikingness, ya know?

Things will be less awkward once they talk again!

Ruff is...well deep down she has trouble admitting it but she is totally jealous of Astrid but at the same time she is Astrid's second biggest fan (Second to Hiccup of coarse, sorry Snotlout you're third place)

She sees Astrid as a kick ass girl she can identify with even if she doesn't think she'll ever reach her level of skill. While the truth of the matter is training with Zetta and Hit Girl has helped Ruffnut kick it up several notches her own lack of self esteem will always make her think Astrid is cooler, tougher, and better then her.

There's probably a few degrees of girlcrush in there too.

Oh and the worry that if Hiccup and Astrid have each other and with him being so smart and her being so skilled that they'll go off and be heroes and legends and she'll be left in the dust, one lone Viking girl surrounded by people and things she doesn't understand.

Speaking of talking again seeing as I keep missing you on AIM (Damn you nightshift!!!) You wanna set up a thread for them to catch up? If not I've got a thread already that was set after the mission you could crash.
