That's so sweet!

Totally unvikinglike to say sweet though so Ruffnut would probably respond to learning just how important she is with a stunned "Whoa..."

Ruffnut's time on the ship has been a journey of self discovery. Without her brother to provide a constant challenge and rival she became her own worst enemy. Despite Hiccup and Astrid being around she's lost some of the connection she used to have with Astrid because of the situation at hand...and well she was never really close to Hiccup.

But Mindy is the first person she's spent time with that she would actually consider a friend despite not being from her home world. Part of it is thanks to Mindy's father's "Creative" parenting, Mindy would probably fit in great with the Hairy Hooligans. She doesn't offer much of a challange for Ruffnut to have to deal with mentally and emotionally either. Most people from more advanced worlds are too advanced for Ruffnut to full understand them or the world they are from, but because of Mindy's outlook on things like fighting and life in general she has no problem there.

Most importantly, when Mindy explains something that Ruffnut doesn't understand (Like say the comm system) so far she's been patient and doesn't talk down to her for being less then intellegent. Ruff hates that.

So as Ruff continues searching for who she is in this weird new world she's been thrust into Mindy has landed herself a spot on a very short list of "People I want around me." and a spot on the even shorter list "People who are pretty awesome"
