wednesday face-sucking meme!


Here's how it works!

1. POST WITH YOUR CHARACTERS. One per comment usually works pretty well.
2. Everybody's welcome! Oldbies, newbies, people not in the game yet but thinking about it...
3. Other people, anon or logged in, comment with names of other characters! Or you can namedrop your own characters anonly. No one will know ;)
4. When you find the named character, comment to them with yours! 
5. The command is simple: your character has to kiss them ASAP. Face-sucking is the goal, but other kinds of kisses are cool as well if it's too gross or if you have an even better idea! And no one has to do anything.
6. GO FORTH AND HAVE FUN, DARLINGS.

You know Darnassian? You learn fast.

My people learn languages instantaneously through lip contact.

Lip contact. Is it really that easy? That's the easiest learning method, ever! Are you just born with that skill? I have to learn.

It is! We only learn how to listen or speak a language, we cannot read or write, but it has helped us through difficult situations in the past.

All people of my planet are able to do it.

It's okay, I only know how to speak a language, too. I can't really read in the two I do know. How does one learn this technique? I must know so I can talk to everyone, ever.

I could learn, but there are so many languages that I limit myself to the ones I use most often, Tamaranean and English.

[She smiles sadly.]

I do not think it can be learned. I have never heard of another species possessing or using the ability, but there may be a spell?

I- Probably a mage or some type of spellcaster.

[He shrugs as if to dismiss the thought.] Oh well, I suppose when I feel like I have a need to learn it, I will.

A question, though? If that's how you learn languages on your planet, what's the equivalent of a kiss to your people?

We also kiss on the lips. It is the emotion involved, not the act itself, that makes it important.

Really? I suppose that makes sense. As often as I've seen it, it seemed like something done pretty casually. Seeing a hug was quite rare and so I was under the impression it was considered the more 'intimate' action, friend or significant other.

Hugs are our way of showing friendly or intimate affection. The length and tightness are determined by the emotion you wish to convey---kisses are the same. I do not entirely understand the human rules, but I am learning.

[He regards her with a blank, if not awkward, look before hesitantly returning the hug.]

Neither do I, it seems kind of complicated. My people are fairly reserved and do not openly show affection outside of their own home. The way humans are so casual with it was pretty puzzling.

I see now. I will not do this unless you wish me to. I...hold on to those I care for, because my people never knew if we would survive the next attack.

Oh. That's depressing, but I understand the want to keep those you care about close to you, just in case.

[A cheery laugh accompanied by a dismissive wave and the previous uncomfortable look was gone.]

No, no, I don't mind. It looks like I misunderstood the meaning behind both, anyways so I should probably remedy that. Maybe.
