In her lacy jammies, lollipop in mouth and looking plenty embarrassed at Katara popping out of the blue.

"K-katara?! H-hey!"

Katara had to laugh at the way that the two of them were situated: what on earth was Ronnae doing with that strangely looking phallic thing in her mouth at this moment?

"Hi!" She greeted, giving the redhead a hug. "Are you ok?"

Ronnie took the lollipop out of her mouth before speaking, she hugged Katara back a bit embarrassed. "Yeah I'm fine. Jus' wasn't expecting company." Which was clear from the less reserved sleepwear she was wearing.

Oh, Katara didn't mind at all! It was one of those things that she knew that richer girls were able to wear because they had the fabric and all. She hugged back, and playfully prodded Ronnae's tummy.

"Have you and Billy been ok?"

She nodded timidly, still blushing.

"Yeah, things have been good. A bit too heavy of a workload. But we've been good. How have you been Katara?"

Ha. Ronnae was still adorable like that. It was sweet.

"I'm glad you've kept busy. I'm...currently getting a memory dump from Stacy. I was actually never Katara, though she did help train me. My name is Kaya."

She rolled her eyes. "Apparently Stacy just LOVES messing with me."

She gave Katara an apologetic look before hugging her comfortingly. "I'm sorry Katar-- Ummm Kaya...."

She smiled and hugged her back. "Look, to avoid confusion, just call me that until the real Katara comes back. It's just messy this way anyway."

She cuddles with Katara pulling her down to the nearest couch. "Well I'm glad regardless of anything that you're back. And that you're you no matter what!"

"Thanks, you have no idea how insane and confusing all of this has been for me!" She laughed, plopping right on Ronnae. "But I'm just glad to be here, in my other home!"

"Have you gone to see the others yet? I'm sure everyone misses you. Billy and Beast Boy specially. And Alex.... I'm really glad you're back, you really are an important part to everyone on this ship." She smiled timidly.

She nodded. "Well, I've seen Billy so far, and yes, I'm really glad to be back. I won't be back fully though, not until this month ends, but when I am, I'll be going straight to all of them. I'm sure with Beastboy thinking he's the only leader, he'll have all these great ideas to share with me. Poor Alex, though."

"Yeah... everyone's been through so much on this ship... I can't really relate... they've all been on this ship far longer than I have..."

"Look, you've been through your own trials, ship or no ship," she said, lightly petting Ronnae's hair. She still rerally liked all that RED. "And they all have a way of shaping you someway. Even losing some of the people and teachers here that I have, it made me stronger. In the end, that's what they would really want, you know?"

"Y-yeah I guess.... I jus' feel.... I don't know... sometimes it feels like i don't have the right to relate... Everyone's been through so much here.... I... nevermind" She looked away embarrassed before snuggling against Katara.

"Look, you should stop that," Kaya scolded. "Back in my world, I was told I had to do things a certain way too, that I was only meant for one thing and nothing else. If I believed that, I would have stayed one way, and never did anything like start the Outsiders or train to get stronger. I'd still be in a room, shunning everything and wanting my world back."

She gently stroked the girl's hair, starting to braid it. "And you made that choice, to be a part of the ship and be in the department you're in. THEN, despite all the things in your life that hurt you, you found Billy, and fell in love with him. Believe me, you have every right to relate."

She listened, obediently. She wasn't much for opposing anything anyone said when like this. But she smiled appreciatively nonetheless. "Th-thanks Katara... I... i'm sorry I'm the way I am..." She sighed and relaxed again, letting her friend braid her hair.

"Don't apologize so much," she said, smiling at her friend. "Just relax, and let's enjoy each other's company. I may not be in the pods long, but at least I can be with one of my closest friends again!"

And she hugged Ronnae tight.

Ronnie blushed timidly back and nodded. "Y-yeah you're right. Live in th-the now right?" She smiled and cuddled up to her friend affectionately.

She always did blush a lot. Yes, those things were starting to come back to her, like fog slowly descending back from her brain. It was good to have everything start to make sense again, to know that her memories were still hers.

"It'll be a few days, and I'll need your help Ronnae," she told her friend. "It's not so much being back on the ship that'll be the hard part: its being someone else, this person I was, when I was holding so tightly to being Katara."

She looked at her friend and kissed her cheek reassuringly. "I'll be here for sure. Helping you the whole way for as long as you need it. We're friends afterall!" She hugged her tightly.

Kaya flushed a little here. She had always thought she was lucky to have friends, and was even happier to know she had one with her Bonded's girlfriend.

"Thank you," she said, returning the hug. "And I'll do the same, I promise. For instance, we might want to work on what happened in the Outsider simulation."

She nodded. "That would be a good start. I'm sure it'll be great to work together!"

She narrowed her eyes. "Well, what DID happen when that thing swallowed you? I heard you scream, so I kinda did my best to get you out but I couldn't. What happened to you in there?"

Her face quickly lost color and she brought her knees up to her chest defensively. "I... I don't like being inside things.... Th-that's all..."
