CUDDLE MEME!!

Steps:
1. Post as your character! Everybody is welcome, even if not in the game or newbies waiting for podpop! We don't bite, we hug.
2. Others reply
3. Participants are struck by the urge to cuddle. No romantic feelings are created or altered, just unexplained snuggly feelings are involved. You can SCREAM at this urge, shake and cry, get hearts in your eyes, feel elated and joyful, rant along the whole way, whatever. It DOES NOT STOP THIS URGE TO CUDDLE.
4. Cuddle! No violent cuddle chokes or cuddle stabs plz. Those can come later ;)

"Oh, good. At least you're capable of feeling some righteous anger about all this." Anyone who knows her well enough could see she's using standoffishness to cover up for sadness. "Poor mommy, all her babies grew up while she was out enslaving the universe" she mimics, monotone.

It would be better to initiate contact and try to get some comfort out of Kang, to treat him like her friend and not the enemy again, but she can't quite bring herself to do it yet.

[Okay, that gets a bit of a scale bristle and a growl, and he's stepping a little closer in a protective manner.]

Why didn't you tell me about this sooner? That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.

"Should I tell you it's because I believe in free speech, or because I had some mirrors to hit with a baseball bat?" she replies somewhat miserably.

[He sighs, and gives in, pulling Eva into a hug.]

You should have told me because I'm your friend, and it's obviously bothered you.

She folds right into his embrace and hugs him back, pulling him in as tightly as she can. "Because you haven't seen enough of me being flustered and upset lately. Really, Kang."

She feels a lot better hugging him than being hostile.

You know I don't think any less of you because of it, Eva.

[Yes, hugging is rather nice. He's beginning to wonder why he doesn't do this more often.]

"I do." She sighs and smushes the side of her face against his chest. "You at least sulk with dignity."

[He laughs, rubbing her back a bit.]

Not always.

"You go lounge in Hydroponics or play with your children in the Sensoriums. I get hammered and beat up a house of mirrors, which I did not tell Samson about, by the way," she mutters, poking a finger against Kang to illustrate her point.

You just haven't seen me use the Sensoriums to kill Knights or goblins yet.

[One of his wings moves to wrap around her.]

"Hey, at least those are goblins. Who doesn't use the Sensoriums to beat up bad guys?" She shifts so that she's nestled under his arm and wing.

Still doesn't mean it's dignified.

"I'm sure getting so drunk I have to be practically carried home has to be a few rungs lower. Thank you for that, by the way."

She frowns a bit. "I'm still angry at you." But she gives him a friendly squeeze.

I don't do that for just anybody.

[He carefully returns it, and snorts.]

"Yes. I must be special. I am especially undignified."

...that's not what I meant, and you know it.

[Despite the short growl that makes his entire chest rumble for a moment, he doesn't let her go.]

"I know. I'm just frustrated. How have you been, lately?"

Hiccup's being sent on a mission with Toothless. Just those two. How do you think?

She sighs and reaches up to pat his shoulder. "...You know, between the two of us, we're going to adopt the entire underage population on the ship. I've got one of my charges podded."

Nura's adopted much more of the younglings than I have, from what I hear. [slight wince]

Katara?

"Nura has terrible taste in books. Do you not like her?" Eva asks. She hasn't made up her mind on Nura either. "Yes, Katara. Good girl. Surprisingly sheltered for a war hero. She restrained me, when the Darks - when I decided to get my evil on."

No, it's not that. I don't know much about her, really, so I don't have much of an opinion. I was just reminded of my own.

[He misses them. :( ]

I noticed that. She's a good fighter, but there's still a few things she needs to learn.

She hugs him a bit tighter at that. "I know you miss them. It's terrible."

She nods. "Honestly, I hope we can preserve that innocence a little longer."

I'm not the only one missing family on this ship, though.

[He sighs, and closes his eyes briefly.]

There's a part of me that wants that as well.

"And tell me how much that knowledge helps. I'm betting not much."

She bites her lip. "I don't want her to end up like Marco, awful thing as that is to say."
