Please pretend that is great art of a cuddle. I am too excitement'd out to look up an illustrative image right now, but hang onto your hats because this is a

CUDDLE MEME!!

Steps:
1. Post as your character! Everybody is welcome, even if not in the game or newbies waiting for podpop! We don't bite, we hug.
2. Others reply
3. Participants are struck by the urge to cuddle. No romantic feelings are created or altered, just unexplained snuggly feelings are involved. You can SCREAM at this urge, shake and cry, get hearts in your eyes, feel elated and joyful, rant along the whole way, whatever. It DOES NOT STOP THIS URGE TO CUDDLE.
4. Cuddle! No violent cuddle chokes or cuddle stabs plz. Those can come later ;)

"You'll get the hang of it, trust me. Once you start caring about people on the ship, you start to act like mother pretty quickly. People are a little too stupid for their own good, myself included. Half the decisions they make are going to be pretty stupid. The mother thing pretty much will fall into place."

She nodded. "I've seen that happen to some people myself. If I can find a way to ease that a little, I'll do what I can, you know?"

"What, and you think I'm not too stupid for my own good?" She laughs again.

"Just don't let it happen to yourself. Though, at least you have a motivation to keep moving. That's the most important thing, I think." It's not so much that people need support, she thinks, as that they need to think they're supporting others.

"I would never call you stupid!" Kaya exclaimed. "Impulsive, pigheaded and self defeating maybe, but never stupid! In fact, I can totally see you as a cool mom, to be honest."

She nodded. "I've always seen how my teacher held onto a hope that we could change the way we did things, despite how hard everything seemed and how badly the odds were stacked against us. But that can only happen if we stick together and look out for each other, not to mention train to get stronger than what we are."

Eva giggles at that appraisal of herself. At least Kaya's bothering to be honest with her. "I am the coolest of moms. Just ask anyone."

She nods. "Self-improvement and community. I've always liked individualism, but there's a lot to gain from community."

"I don't have to!" she said, laughing. "Anyone who didn't want to strangle me even after I froze them in ice 'for their own good' is a pretty cool mom in my book!"

She nodded. "I have Katara's memories about her people, and I have my own: whether we were North or South Pole, community is the most important thing in our tribe. All the people on this ship, they're just another tribe in a way."

"I was waving a trident around like some lunatic Poseidon. Why would I hold it against you?"

Eva doesn't quite believe that, but she acts as if she's agreeing anyway. She's in no tribe with voluntary controllers or Yeerks.

She laughed. "I knew it wasn't you, but I told you why I did it, after all. I didn't like the idea of you being possessed and all."

She was still not knowing as much about the Yeerks and voluntary controllers, so she figured by the look on Eva that she had her own reservations only she knew about.

"It wasn't exactly a laugh riot for me, either. Embarrassing at best." Retraumatizing at worst. "I'm glad you helped. Still sorry Marco didn't take it well, but like I said, he has his reasons."

Re: Eva

She shrugged. "I always sort of got along with Marco, and I hated him getting so angry with me, but he wasn't there. I had to do what I knew would prevent you from doing something they would put you in jail for. I was in there, it wasn't fun, and I wouldn't have you paraded around as a criminal for something you did while possessed. You...you're as close to a mom on the ship that I have, and I wouldn't allow that."

Fine, she would just say it. She meant it, after all.

Eva doesn't really have a response to that. She just gets a big doofy, flattered grin on her face and holds Kaya even closer.

Kaya just grins back and hugs her ship mom. Yes, she thought that, no point in pretending otherwise and she knew it.
