Hello everyone!

As you may know, applications open once again on June 1st. That's in...precisely two weeks! New crew members abound! They don't actually get to play until July, but it's never too early to start thinking about characters you may want to apply for. If you already have your idea, great!

If not, well, sit back and allow us to provide some suggestions.

For this...is...ENABLING NIGHT! ((Offer does not expire at midnight. Enable as long as necessary.))

Use this post to tell us why the canon you love and character you want are so spectacularly fantastic that they deserve another chance. That this ship will wither and die without their vital, life-giving presence. That they are worthy of being picked up and applied for.

How can you accomplish this? However you like! Essays extolling their virtues, your very best pictures of them, your favorite music videos, EXTREME ADVERTISING, and whatever else you have are all welcomed here! Let's make this ~fun~.

I really wish I finished my everything awesome in Xenosaga pimp post I am slowly working on. Need to do that soon. THAT SAID Xenosaga probably has something YOU will like in it, because it's a huge ass canon with an entire universe gone into and ahh. It has science and religion and sexy lady robots (seriously, KOS-MOS unf), geeky scientists, loveable loser sidekicks, hilarious ship crews, clones, clone emo, lolis, loli emo, bridgebunny lolis! Cyborgs, synthetic humans and fights about their rights, samurai, MECHA (of both the small and Gundam and also omgwtf huge size), epic space battles with gorgeous backgrounds and badass spaceships, magical girl transformations, crazy insane scientists, psychos antagonists that are so screwed in the head it's borderline creepy but has so much background and reasoning for it, it has Jesus-type characters, more shipping options than you can imagine (got a type? Xenosaga has pretty much all of them). GOT A CHARACTER TYPE? I can totally try to pimp one that suits you. |D

But Tara I don't have a PS2/don't play video games/whatever NO EXCUSES LOOK I HAVE AN ENTIRE CANON COMPILATION HERE TO WATCH ONLINE! (http://carrieswar.livejournal.com/2171.html) And the game is very story-heavy so while in the end I really do suggest giving the game a go (because they are really fun, especially III and its mecha battles), going to that link is a great great GREAT alternative for those who cannot. \o/ Xenosaga is a great series with an awesome (if not sometimes confusing because woah sciece and religion) story and absolutely amazing and deep characters. I don't even care who APPS from it, I just love spreading the love of the series because it's one I hold near and dear to my heart.

This is Gaignun Kukai and the character I want more than anything! he is Jr.'s ... "father" (except not exactly) and shares an emo cloney bioweapony past with him. But Gaignun's inner demons go a little beyond that when the past quite literally comes creeping up behind him in the most unusual (and OH NO) way.

He owns a WHOLE SPACE COLONY that many other clones/sub-humans/outcasts live in harmony harmony oh love. Because they understannnnnnd the paaaain. Gaignun is smart and sophisticated but can be funny and laid back as well.

Then app her. Materialize weapons out of thin air! Beat up aliens! Godmode the hell out of everything because that is seriously what KOS-MOS does. She's an anti-Gnosis combat android, but as the story goes on you find out she's much more than that. If you like fighting and being sexy and using big words, KOS-MOS is your girl!

One of the synthetic humans mentioned above, MOMO's got a ton more to her, being deeply connected with the story as it progresses. Created by a man who planned to revive his daughter through her, MOMO developed her own consciousness. She shoots bow and arrows, heals and pilots a giant pink mecha.

THEN APP CHAOS. chaos starts out as this dude who is just traveling with you and is all nice and oh, hey he can somehow touch and defeat the weird aliens. And as the game progresses you find out he's crazy involved not only in the storyline the game mainly takes place in, but the entire crazy past. That past is also religious, which makes his Jesus-stance that much more hilarious and perfect. If someone apps KOS-MOS she totally needs a chaos with her!

Albedo ruining everything and being crazy. Also, battles in-game where you hit him and he actually moans for more. Seriously though Albedo is disturbed for so many reasons and he's actually one of the coolest characters ever.
