Right enough, anyways. It doesn't stop people from trying; not that I can blame them anyways (I mean, I wish I could lie, sometimes.) Next time (oh, you assume much! I applaud you) I'll make sure that my face is throughly uncovered and we are not in the dark so that you can stare all you want.

[There was a definite smirk in her voice as she sent her thoughts to him.]

That's fine by me, it's not like I can't see you already, even with your visor you know. But like I said before, ain' gonna push you into it. Ain' fun if you ain' enjoying it. This time however, was really pleasant.

He lifted his feet, crossing them on the table in front of his couch before relaxing back, looking at the ceiling as he let out a puff of smoke.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Then I guess you're complaining about nothing, aren't you? I'm much more adept at using my neuro-powers than my actual body, I'm afraid. Always have been. My (batshit insane) brother would be proud.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
It's fine, like I said, don' sweat it~ There's just something about the real thing that can't be mimicked in the mind... believe me, I've tried, and I'm one of the top Spectres in the Academy and on the field.

He frowned as thoughts of the Academy sparked here and there, but he shook them away anyways.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
And now I know the extent that you've mastered your 'mind-sex powers', so to speak (that sounded incredibly corny). But I do see your point. It might just be because it's all in one's mind but it's still plenty (very) enjoyable for me at least, especially considering the amount of control I have, there.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, o'course, never said it wasn't enjoyable, much the opposite, it was damn amazing to be honest. I haven't done anything like that in a very very long time.

He smiled, closing his eyes momentarily, reliving one of the moments from the encounter. Her fair skin, her pleasant moans, the way she moved. Everything about this girl called to him, and yet he knew better than to get involved with anyone, for their sake anyways.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
If you need a few moments alone with your (very detailed) memories of yesterday, I can give you some time.

[There was a very noticeable smile in her 'voice', as if she was on the verge of laughing.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! It's fine, I can multitask~ Can't blame me really, it was pretty amazing.

He took another long drag of the cigarette, blowing up into the air with a wide smile, shades perfectly propped against his face.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that it was. It's actually pretty different and very new engaging in such a thing with a fellow telepath (and a man, to boot). I didn't even have to do all the work this time, even if I do enjoy it just a little (a lot).

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you enjoyed it thoroughly then Mindfuck, I look forward to our next engagement, even if it's not of the same nature. He smiled, and in his thoughts there was definitely a pleased and teasing tone.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
What would be the fun in it (other than the act itself) if that was the only thing we did? Although with the recent surge of children I could use a (very hard) drink.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, I mean, I'm definitely not opposed to another, or many other rounds of creative mindspace activities. But a drink sounds right about now. Meet ya at the Dragon?

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not so sure that egregious amounts of alcohol will drown out the very loud (and very imaginative) voices of children, but i'm not opposed to trying it out until one step before inebriation.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Or I can bring a couple of kegs over to your place? Either or, I take it your new place is probably a lot quieter since you're far removed from most of the crew.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-06 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Somewhat. Before I woke up here, the only way I could escape the babbleroar of Earth was by being in space so the incessant chatter doesn't make too much difference wherever I am on the ship.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? That's just.... That sucks. Want me to give a shot at dampening it? Maybe try to block it while I'm around you? I'm fairly good at blocking thoughts and such.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Unless you've got a very powerful psi-shield for the entirety of the crew in your pants (which you don't, I've checked), then I'm afraid there's nothing to do about it. There's a variety of tech that I've gone through and the only 'real' way to block them is by dampening my actual powers or preventing those from having their thoughts read in the first place.

I'm willing to check (your pants) again, just in case, though.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I can do that... It's part of my repertoire actually. I can shut down psionic powers for a certain period of time. Of course the longer I shut you out, the more damage I do to myself, but I'm willing to give you a moment's reprise so you can rest. My limit's one day however, after that I pass out for a while...

Tho pants checking is always okay in my book too.
He chuckled, finishing his cigarette before tossing it aside, incinerating it mid-air.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be (highly) irresponsible of me, though I do thank you for the offer! Maybe one day for awhile. As for now? I think I can (probably, hopefully) bear it for a bit longer.

Glad to see you're ah, 'open-minded' to full-body searches.

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-09 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Not a problem, it's not like you don't deserve a break every now and then. Friends an' all that right?

And why would I be opposed to full-body searches after somethin' like that? It's not like you'll find anything new... Okay well, I still have much more to show, but that's beside the point I'm sure.

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
No, that would be exactly the point, wouldn't it? But thank you for that. It'll be a relief to me and my (poor, overworked) mind!

[identity profile] expendable-mind.livejournal.com 2011-06-10 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
He laughed heartily, Well i guess I'll be meeting you at your place?

[identity profile] piggyback-ride.livejournal.com 2011-06-12 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. It's not like I don't have the time.
