The clock continues to turn on the ship.

The last years have been of turbulence, surprises and great fights, but eventually, five years ago, the Ohm were defeated and slowly, peace was restored to the entire multiverse. The crisis was averted! Congratulations!

...However rebuilding universes takes time. Energy. Power. It still might be years off before you'll get to go home, and Stacy is truly saddened about that. Call it catch 22 if you will, but at least the life on the ship is a lot more peaceful now. The farms have grown, and now there's enough in-house grown food to feed everyone who doesn't feel like eating slop or eating slop in the sensoriums every day. That's a small comfort, right? Oh sure, there's still the surprise or two on it, but now there's slowly more places to stop, and Stacy has been a lot more lenient about people getting their shots...

As they sometimes say, life will find a way to flourish, anywhere it can. My, there's a lot more bellies around the ship than before...

And maybe. One day. Far off future. You'll get to go home. But that's not now.

Ten years is a lot of time for people to grow, personalities to change and emotions to emerge. How have your characters turned out of it?

Considering Philip, he looked a little older, a little wiser, but he walks with a definite heaviness to his steps. The last few years had taken its toll on him over the years. He's no longer the frail looking Rider he used to be, having put on some muscle.

He still has that little knowing half-smile on his face.

"Philip!" Hoshi cheered, looking at her husband. A wide smile spread on her lips and she walked over the best she could. She wrapped her arms around him, rubbing his back.

"How are you feeling today?" she asked, knowing that he has gone through a lot in the past few years.

"Slept well," replied Philip, meaning that for him, he got three hours undisturbed before the old Venjix nightmares hit him.

Hoshi frowned a bit and nodded just a bit before she threaded her fingers through his hair. "Ssh, it's okay. We defeated him, remember?"

Since her stomach's in the way, she can't do much else than try to comfort and soothe him as much as she can.

"I'm fine," he replied. Yeah did he forget to mention that he had become a little short on words once in a while, especially when considering Venjix? Well can't have everything.

All Hoshi could do was nod in response before giving him a nuzzle and a forehead kiss. "I love you. Want to feel your kids, love?"

That got a half-smile out of him as he placed his hand on her stomach. Sure enough, he can feel it. [Weight 1.2 pounds] his internal systems told him.

She couldn't help but smile warmly as they kicked against their father's hand to show him that they're there and can't wait to see their parents.

"Want to discuss names? Or - well, we can do what you want to do today. I'm game for anything."

"Ah maybe when I'm more awake," admitted Philip. "Though I've got a few ideas somewhere..."

"I can make you breakfast," Hoshi said before she tilted her head. "Ooh, where are those?"

He nodded and rubbed his head. "Just... stuff."

She sat down, rubbing her back some. "Wanna talk about it?"

"..." Picks at a cup of coffee.

"It's nothing really."

He has his moments really, when he finds himself thinking up attackbot designs and finding himself several hours into work on one of them before stopping. Side effect of sharing your body with evil for a while, even 10 years later.

"Philip..." Hoshi was tempted to use "Raito", but knew that he didn't take kindly to that name.

"You know you can trust me with anything. I just want to help," she said, edging a bit closer to him.

"..."

Philip took a sip of his drink. "I was working on the Generation 42 attackbot again."

"Is there anything we could do to fully wipe Venjix out? I can transform again if need be." Even now, she was the type to do anything for the ones she loved. She wanted the family they were building to be free of any kind of problems.

"Still working on that," replied Philip, taking another drink of coffee. "Don't worry, I'll figure it out."

"Are you sure?" she asked, reaching out to touch Philip's free hand.

"Yeah, I'll be okay."

"...so how many times have you went over the fatherhood info by now?" The detective was a bit teasing in tone, but he meant well.

"Enough times to actually make me sick of look ups," admitted Philip, getting an actual smile for his partner. "I hadn't thought I was able to have children anymore."

And that response got a chuckle out of Shoutarou, who followed it with a pat on the shoulder. "You and me both, but I'm definitely not complaining about it. And you ought to relax - you'll be a fine father."

"Though I can't help but think my children's going to have special powers," added Philip. "I mean, the Venjix hardware coupled with my unique status..."

"I suppose it's possible and rather probable. If that's the case, though, I believe we've got plenty of people around who can help who know more about having innate powers than us."

"That's true," admitted Philip. "We'll have to see what happens."
