Friday Meme Light: Cause It's A Bittersweet Victory (Ten Years Later Thread)

The clock continues to turn on the ship.

The last years have been of turbulence, surprises and great fights, but eventually, five years ago, the Ohm were defeated and slowly, peace was restored to the entire multiverse. The crisis was averted! Congratulations!

...However rebuilding universes takes time. Energy. Power. It still might be years off before you'll get to go home, and Stacy is truly saddened about that. Call it catch 22 if you will, but at least the life on the ship is a lot more peaceful now. The farms have grown, and now there's enough in-house grown food to feed everyone who doesn't feel like eating slop or eating slop in the sensoriums every day. That's a small comfort, right? Oh sure, there's still the surprise or two on it, but now there's slowly more places to stop, and Stacy has been a lot more lenient about people getting their shots...

As they sometimes say, life will find a way to flourish, anywhere it can. My, there's a lot more bellies around the ship than before...

And maybe. One day. Far off future. You'll get to go home. But that's not now.

Ten years is a lot of time for people to grow, personalities to change and emotions to emerge. How have your characters turned out of it?

Studies so far had given some insight into Menagerie/Beastboy's physiology, genetic therapy had made his genes unstable to the point that with a thought he effectively took them apart atom by atom, molecule by molecule and rebuilt himself into whatever creature was in mind.

But since the madness set in Earth animals rarely made appearances, instead alien monstrosities, mythical beasts and the like had been his tools of choice.

For right now he was a dragon, sleeping inside the ruins of a building, smoke puffing out of the windows and holes in the foundation as a dire warning to any and all who would dare enter.

So basically this was his way of saying "Hello Gandrayda, nice to see you." Or so Gandrayda liked to think it was. Humor helped to keep the situation from being entirely too depressing, after all, and how she coped with everything.

More or less? Either that or Go away or I'll eat you!

It really just depended on if your glass of bloodthirsty killing machine was half full or half empty.

This was Gandrayda. She took everything half full. Although this needle was completely filled with a glowing liquid.

Upon entering the den of the dragon she would see Beastboy, curled up and snoring softly, smoke drifting from his nose holes, the corpses of various small creatures and their bones providing a morbid sort of decoration.

Now she just had to find a soft spot to sink the needle into.

No problem she'd done this numerous times before on creatures of all shapes and sizes Metroid games were good with soft spots after all. Using her nimble agility, she ran over and struck right into the soft underside back of his tail.

There was a sudden roar that shook the very foundations of the building till it began to crumble around them and that tail lashed out at our shape shifting hero to attempt to knock her into one of the crumbling walls.

Acid poured from his maw as he flapped wildly kicking droplets of the toxic corrosive fluid around in his fury.

It might take a minute to see any effects...good luck making it that long!!!
