Katara is someone that Nanoha has quickly grown very close to. She sees a lot of herself in the other girl - the protectiveness of those she cares about, the affectionate personality, and the willingness to kick ass when it comes down to it. Saving Aang has become kind of a personal mission of hers, because she knows what it's like to have someone you love in danger, and she wants to reunite him and Katara.
