Alessa is an interesting case for Nanoha. On the one hand, she recognizes that the demon girl is... well, she's not human, and shouldn't be treated as such. Her powers are slightly unnerving, her motivations uncertain (and potentially dangerous), and Nanoha wonders if she might be a mistake even trusting Alessa a little bit.

At the same time, she recognizes that just because she's a demon, it doesn't make her incapable or unwilling of helping others, and she tries to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially after some of the assistance she's offered on dealing with the Nightmare King.
