~~I feel vaguely bad posting this since we've had a few other memes over the last few days but. I wanna spam the hell out of everyone. .___.~~

In honour of the fact that it's Valentine's tomorrow in my corner of the world, I bring you the Blind Date Meme!

Somehow, someway, your character has agreed to a blind date (or several). Maybe they were coerced into it, maybe they don't actually mind the idea, maybe it's just Stacy messing with everyone's heads again, but they're here now. And at the very least, it shouldn't be boring for them.

♥ Make a comment for your character, you can outline a mini-setting if you want. (Think along the lines of the 'Waking up in bed' meme we had a little while back.)

♥ Other characters comment to that as the other half of the blind date!

[Lyle ~~plays around with the shiny new toy~~ carefully examines the belt buckle. He experiments with seeing what it can do as well as having a look at its inner working with his omnicom.]

It looks good, but my invisibility does have one obvious advantage over it.

Lyle, you know I can detect things a range of different ways, including heat signals, don't you?

Why would I think about that? It serves a function sometimes, but otherwise? What is there to think about?

[It's not as though Lyle doesn't appreciate someone's mind for once not going into the gutter. It's just a little weird that Brainy doesn't seem to know gutters even exist.

Lyle debates explaining it to him, but he's already gotten in his teasing quota for the day, so he'll skip it.]

There's no point in having it if you don't think of every way you can use it.

[Yes, he was talking about strategy. Of course. Turning visible now. Ignore the amused expression.]

[Gutters? He has no idea what that has to do with anything. And Lyle probably exceeded his teasing quota.

You mean planning as many infiltration tactics as could be feasible? We did have Cham go undercover once...

[Lyle is probably over his teasing quota for the decade, yes.]

Really? [Now his interest is perked.] Do you have an Espionage Squad?

Espionage Squad? No, nothing like that. We had Cham try and go in to learn more about Imperiex's plans, but it... didn't end well.

[So much for his hope of spy stories.]

Was he all right?

He recovered quickly enough. The error was my fault, I'm afraid.

Espionage is pretty tough, not to mention dangerous. But it's necessary.

Actually the problem was more with my attempt to help Cham... improve his performance.

And it turned out to be futile either way, since the plan was discovered early in and Cham was fed false information.

[Lyle is raising his eyebrows all the way up. Does he really want to know?]

I'm sure I've made bigger screw-ups.
