::There's not even a squeak now. He's just doing his thing, slowly melting a section of the cuff and making sure no liquid-metal gets on anything, namely skin or clothing::

A deep breath later, Renne positions three fingers on the cuff, almost paranoid of touching flesh or cloth. This paranoia isn't ill founded either, once the temperature slowly begins to rise where his fingers are::
