DRUNK MEME

The premise is really very simple: The characters posted here are getting drunk at this on-planet marketplace. If your character would normally do so, you need no further instruction. Have fun!

If your character's a teetotaler, though, no worries. All the foods and beverages here at this strange marketplace of wonders are so imperceptibly alcohol-laced that no one will have a clue until it's too late. :3 By then, the fun's already beginning and there is NO ESCAPE. You are all DOOMED to suffer. Or puke. Or be really really super, if you're the type to process alcohol amazingly well.

Eat, drink, and have a party! There's plenty of partying with the locals over here for your characters to join in on. You have the vendors' corridor and a field outside it to roam around in, and for some reason the outdoor field is stocked with enormous gliding kites. This recipe sounds pretty disasteriffic to me.

"Heeeeeeeey... Staaaaaaaarfiiiiiiiireeee....." That's a book drawling out her name as a minion lurches it unsteadily towards the girl.

"Zetta!"

Her protective instincts triggered, Star attempts to steady the minion and book. How did a book get drunk, anyway?

"What has happened to you?" she asked, starting to slur the words together.

"They have some goooooooood stuff here," Zetta said with a wild grin. "You should try it. In fact.. there's lots of good stuff here you could try."

Not the most smooth freakin' Overlord in the cosmos, is he.

[starbolts]

"What should I try?"

Even now she doesn't quite get it.

"I bet you've never gotten hot and heavy with a demon before, let alone an Overlord," Zetta leered, failing to recognize that this sort of language was exactly the sort Starfire still wouldn't get.

[starbolts]

She answered, of course, with a blank stare.

"We have never been considerably warmer than usual, nor have we experienced gravity fluctuations. Do you wish to?"

Maybe it was some sort of strange Overlord experiment. Who knew?

"Oh, I'll help you get all warm," Zetta said, still shamelessly leering. "And then we'll... uh..." He lost his train of thought for a minute as he frowned. "Uh, this innuendo isn't getting through to you at all, is it?"

[starbolts]

"Innuendo?"

Dizzy enough by now, Starfire seated herself next to the book and its carrier minion. "You are trying to...flirt, yes?"

With a soft grin, she starts to curl around them like a satisfied cat. What? It's getting cold and she's woozy.

"Yes. Or... hit on you. That also works. Ugh, does that phrase parse?" Zetta certainly was satisfied with the curl, even as he struggled to make his brain work through the haaaaze. "I'm not gonna hit you. That's not what that means."

[starbolts]

"Thank you for refraining", she sighed, "but why is it called hitting on?"

"Uh. I don't know," Zetta said. "It... just is? 'Seduce' is too damn elegant a word for me, so I dunno what else to use..."
