☀THE WARM AND TOASTY MEME☀
The situation: It is dreadfully cold. Think 'ice cave where all those slash fics are set'.
The goal: Keep each other warm tonight!

☀ STEP ONE: Comment with your characters. One comment for each character.
☀ STEP TWO: Other people reply to your characters.
☀ STEP THREE: Both participants are aware that they should/must keep nice and warm. To do that, you need to bundle up nice and closely, however grudgingly. No, killing your threadmate and cuddling the body doesn't count.
☀ STEP FOUR: Keep 'em warm! Hot cocoa, hot coffee, hot tea, hot mustard, or other suitably warming beverages will be provided if you cooperate.
☀ STEP FIVE: Lulz ensue!

((Basically just a winter-themed cuddle meme, with evil ideas from Shae and Col. Add some cuddle urges in the air if your characters won't otherwise cooperate but you want them to.))

Don't understand why I can't get it to work...

[ Distractedly, she holds her hands out to Jamie, but her eyes don't leave the heater. ]

I can work while moving to maintain some heat. [He starts prodding and pacing.] We can switch off later if you truly want to, but it's a somewhat small blanket.

[So small that he estimates they'd have to cuddle each other to share it---and while that might sound nice and familiar, he doesn't want to put himself in the line of fire from boyfriends more than necessary. Even if fire is warm.]

Katara spied her blue friend shivering, and immediately picked him up, bringing him closer to her, and surrounding them both in a large, fluffy blanket.

"I thought you could use a pick me up," she said, handing him a steaming mug of hot chocolate. "You looked cold."

[ She gives up on the heater momentarily and watches Billy. ]

Alright look just. C'mere. [ And she drags the heater onto the floor where they can work on it better, settles herself down against the wall next to it, and holds the blanket open for Billy to join her. ] No worse'n cuddlin' in the hammock, yeah?

Katara is pretty observant when it comes to looking at snow and ice, and upon seeing an all too familiar book here, she picked it up immediately, bringing him to shelter.

"Are you feeling all right, Overlord Zetta?" She was already heating up some water to thaw him out.

[Sigh. So tempting, so tempting...he's gonna look for any spies now. None. Good.]

I suppose not, and we trust each other, but...I worry about offending people. Perhaps too much.

[He'll look left, right, then shyly slide in beside her and start rubbing his hands for warmth.] Are you warm enough?

[Jamie's currently searching through the cave trying to find something - anything - that will work to keep him warm. He's also trying not to let his teeth chatter that much. He's a Highlander. He can deal with a wee bit of cold, right?]

::There's a bundle/pile of white fur bumble-rolling toward her scent. It's shivering a little but not by much. Layers of insulated fur and all that. Speaking of which, a section of said fur extends out. It's supported by a Renne-sized arm but the fur very likely covers this fact entirely::

[Jamie takes them in his frowns a little as he feels how cold they are. He begins to gently massage them in an effort to try and get them to warm up some.]

Maybe some of the parts are frozen. It's certainly cold enough in here at the moment, aye?

[ She glances down at Renne from the heater, hands still working at splicing two wires. ] Y'alright, Renne?

"You wouldn't believe!" Katara said. "I was more than happy just to make friends here, but because of what you learn, you get stronger in so many ways!"

And Katara gratefully shared her own with Starfire. "Somewhat, although I think earth and fire benders tend to not have a specific hair style. Air benders, from what I've seen are bald...well, the boys and men are. The girls, I think, usually just have most of their hair brought to the back tightly, so they appear to have the same attributes as the males. It's hard to say though: in my world, almost all the airbenders are wiped out."

"My Renne!" she exclaimed, still reddening with happiness whenever she was greeted that way. She could feel the warmth in his voice, and it never ceased to put a smile on her face.

She nuzzled him back, and decided to be careful with the wrapping, so she didn't accidentally squish him.

"A little, but I'm used to this weather: I was raised in the South Pole."

[ She keeps looking as he massages some of the warmth back into her hands, until she spots a break in one of the wires and pulls back to fumble with it. ]

[ Ah, she gets it. She moves the heater down so she can work on it better while cuddling up next to Renne. Better already. ]

Aye. [When she pulls away, he follows her over, craning to look over her shoulder to see if he can figure out what's wrong. Mind you, he's terrible about not getting into people's personal space - so he's got a hand on her shoulder to brace himself while he takes a look. He'll remove it if she wants him to.]

[ She doesn't mind the hand at all--it's adding plenty of warmth to her shoulder, if nothing else. Her concentration is on the wire, which she strips and connects, then turns back to power the heater up...

I take it that's a no, then. [And if Kaylee can't fix it, Jamie certainly can't, so they have to think of something else. He moves his hand down to wrap it around her shoulder and draw her away from the heather.]

Come away from that for a moment, aye? Staring at it's not going to do ye any good right now.

At this point, she felt safe enough to call him that. She didn't think she could come up with a pet name for Renne as Renne had for her, so she though she'd express her joy with him this way.

"Um, its not a real pole, more like the most bottom or the farthest top of a world. Those places are usually the ones that get the least amount of sun, so its very cold there. That's why its a little easier for me."

She brought him closer to her chest, that way he'd be warmer.
