Hoshi...the illness will pass. I really don't want to let this wait.

[Yeah, he doesn't look good. Shirt half-opened, hair sticking all over the place, face red.]

[ Hoshi is also stubborn about keeping her friends okay. She walks over to him and forces him to sit down. ]

You look like you're going to pass out at any moment. C'mon, let me take care of you.

[Sits at her insistence, reluctantly setting the omnicom down.]

You're sure you don't have something more important to do?

[Yup, stopped for a hacking cough somewhere in the middle of that.]

[ Hoshi smiles warmly while she shakes her head. ]

Not at all. Is your room somewhere around here? I can carry you to it.

It's only a short hallway away. I can walk.

[...His expression fades to skepticism.]

You can carry me?

Well, do your legs feel like jelly or something?

I'd be extremely concerned if they were.

[Billy stood up and started to his room slowly---they weren't jelly, exactly, but they burned and ached and weren't being fun at all.]

[ Hoshi takes his arm, wraps it around her neck and wraps her other one around his waist. ]

Lean on me.

[He makes a small noise of protest but goes along with it, guiding them toward his room. They stop in front of his door and he opens it, heading inside with her help.]

I'll be all right.

[Funny, he keeps insisting that but it sounds less and less convincing.]

[ Hoshi guides him to his bed and lays him down while she then pulls the blanket over him, tucking him in. ]

You're not to leave this bed, you hear me?

[ She places her hands on her hips to solidify her point. ]

[Yup, way to terrify him.

Yes ma'am. Not leaving, ma'am.

[The tucking in is rather nice, he thinks, even as he has to roll over and hack up another storm.]

[ She was raised by a military man. It kinda comes in handy sometimes. ]

I'm gonna go find some medicine, water-- do you have any problems with your stomach, Billy?

Some. It's starting to roll.

[Ick, he hates this. He's just going to lean over the side of the bed and try not to get too sick.]

All right, I'll be back faster than you can say banana split.

[ She's mainly putting humor in this to try to make him feel better, but she eventually returns with some medicine, water, a bowl and extra blankets. Seraphiel decides to help by bringing in some pillows for him. ]

It's a shame we don't have any soda here.

You think soda would help?

[Billy tries to peer at all the items, but it's a bit harder when his glasses slipped off at some point.]

I'm not sure what my stomach can handle right now.

Well, not when it's carbonated. You're supposed to let it sit to let the fizz drain out of it and then drink it. It's supposed to help settle your stomach.

[ Hoshi puts the bowl, water, and medicine down on a nightstand before she places the blankets around him, followed by propping him up with the pillows so that he's elevated a bit. ]

How does that feel?

Right, the syrups.

[His mind's still fuzzy. He leans up when lifted, settling into place.]

Had to stop my stomach from rolling again, but...I think it's all right now.

Mm.

[ Hoshi hands him the bowl and finds a chair to sit down in. Once she does, she drags it over to the side of his bed and sits down. ]

Lemme know when you're ready for the medicine. I'll make some soup or something so that you don't take it on an empty stomach.

[Billy's silent for a few moments, looking more and more ill. Why won't it just get over with already----yuck, there, and he is emptying the contents of his stomach. Give him a minute to recover.]

I'm sorry---I should be ready, just a minute.

[ Hoshi pushes his hair out of his face while rubbing his back gently and comfortingly. ]

Ssh, it's all right. Don't push yourself, okay?

[He nods shakily. That does help him feel a little better...]

Ye---yeah. I believe it's done. Medicine should be fine.

[Oh he's so sorry she had to see that.]

[ Hoshi continues to rub his back, still smiling. She's used to taking care of others, so the sight of vomit isn't anything to grimace over. ]

Okay. Keep the bowl close to you and I'll wash it out in case if you feel like you have to throw up. Seraphiel's gonna stay with you. If you need anything, don't hesitate to tell him.

[ She gets up on her feet and then uses the sleeve of her shirt to get the sweat off of him. Then, she walks over to the kitchen to begin making something that might help. ]

I will, don't worry.

[He smiles half-heartedly at her and rests, having likely fallen into a light sleep by the time she returns.]

[ Success! She's found some soup and has made it. She comes back into Billy's room and finds him sleeping. She puts the soup down before covering him up with the blankets.

She decides to clean the bowl and then comes back to Billy. Falling asleep is definitely a good thing. ]

[It doesn't last long, but at least he was well enough to relax a bit. Cue him stirring and trying to sit upright.]

...asleep already? I'm sorry. And you...the soup..

[Sick-boy ramblings. Yup.]
