if you had wings...


Don't you wish you could fly?

Uh, well...about that. Now you can! See, for some reason, Stacy / GLaDOS / a wizard thought it would a real hoot to curse (bless?) you and now you've sprouted wings! It doesn't matter if your species would look silly with wings, you're a book, you can already fly without them, or whatever else. Too bad, you're stuck with them!

- Post the wing type you got saddled with---choose one on your own, use a RNG to choose, or leave it up to your partner! Your partner can feel free to have wings too.
- Characters who already have wings can have them modified in some way: if they can only glide, they're now capable of flight, or they can spout glitter and rainbows upon flapping. OR you can add an appendage of your choice---horn? Tail? Tentacle? Go wild.
- React, laugh, and have fun!

Wing Types:
01. Fluffy Angel Wings - The typical type you probably think of when 'wings' come to mind - you're all fluffy and downy like a Cherub - not to mention...these are very sensitive to touch...
02. Black Wings - they're beautiful, but seem a little off - and they stick out like a sore thumb!
03. Filligree Wings - very slight, very delicate and very beautiful - these are like filmy gauze attached to your skin and the most managable - if you like spider webs.
04. Fairy Wings - two sets, lucky you, you look just like a butterfly, and man are they strong - but it's hard to get them all folded up right, isn't it?
05. Devil Wings - you're like some overgrown bat - maybe you should be the one avoiding public the most for now, these might poke someone in the eye!
06. Your choice! You don't have to choose any of these, as far as your imagination goes is fine. And if there's a wing type in your canon that makes more sense, go for it!

[Someone's huffing, trying to keep her new wings down, but they keep flitting out in anger.]

Hey, could whichever of y'all's responsible for this do a pony a favor and show yourselves? I ain't a pegasus pony, I don't need these flapping around!

Atom could fly without wings! In fact, he was doing it now, pulling up beside Applejack and waving.

"Hi! Wow, I've never seen a flying pony before."

Applejack thought that was nice, really---she just found herself wobbling, rolling, and getting stuck in some tree branches. Phew, at least she wasn't tumbling about so much now.

"I'm not supposed to be one! Where I come from, we've got plenty of pegasus ponies, but I'm an earth pony!"

She sure didn't look like one now, though. More than anything, she wanted out of there.

"An earth pony?" Atom offered her a hand to help steady her a little. "So those aren't your real wings?"

"They sure feel real," Applejack grumbled, appreciating the hand. There, now she was just casually sitting on the tree and fluttering her wings. "I just don't usually have 'em. No clue where they came from."

She wondered if that was a common problem.

He grinned at her, setting down on one of the branches nearby. "Well, they look really nice on you, even if they're not yours. You don't feel sick or anything, do you?"

"If I am, it ain't from growing these. I'm just not the kind of pony who ever needed to know how to do a triple barrel inside-out loop," she sighed, those last words sounding like she was imitating another proud pegasus pony she knew.

"How about you? You feelin' all right?"

"Me? Yep, I'm feeling great!" He sat down on the branch, swinging his legs back and forth. "Besides, I don't think I'm gonna grow any wings like you. I'm a robot."

Applejack managed to arrange herself into a proper sitting position, tilting her head to one side. Huh.

"A robot? Huh. You look just like all the other humans to me, sure you're not just gonna grow a wing or two? Uh...not that I recommend it."

"Yeah, but normal humans can't fly, right? I was designed to look just like one, though."

"So what's your name?"

"I've seen plenty of humans fly. Most of 'em use magic, though," she realized, tapping her branch with a hoof. "So...you're like them but not like them?"

How confusing. She just tilted her head, tipping her hat toward her branch-partner. "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meetcha. I'm Applejack!"

"Oh, really? I'm not magic, though. I'm mostly made of metal alloy. I guess you could say humans put me together, though."

He gave her another smile. "Nice to meet you, Applejack. I'm Atom! Um, so is that why you've got those apple marks?"

Humans could just...put together another human? Without going through all the mess and trouble of breeding? Well why didn't they just do that in the first place and spare the mares the agony?

People would never cease to amaze her.

"So couldn't they just give you metal wings, then?"

The weight issue briefly crossed her mind, but if humans could do all that, she was sure they could make metal wings work to. "Well how do you do, Atom! Well...nah, I wasn't named for 'em. I was a blank flank when I was born, same as everypony else. When us ponies learn what our special talents are, we get our cutie marks. Mine's farming apples," she said proudly, as happy about that as she always would be.

Oh look Applejack, its Rainbow Crash Mindy Macready.

"What the-are we turning into ponies too? My little ponies at that?"

Yes, she liked the cartoon. She WAS in Mindy form right now, so what?

"Turning?" Applejack made an interesting face. Now that would be a big worry, if they were just shifting species like that.

"I haven't seen anypony turn into one, you don't have to worry about that. I've been a pony since I was a little filly," she clarified, trying to twist round to see the girl.

Anypony? Well, that cinched it: somehow ponies had come to Trans 9. MY LITTLE PONY ponies. While she was stuck on a planet.

SHENANIGANS.

"My bad then...uh, applebutt?" She only guessed, and her head was fuzzy since the crash, otherwise she would have named this pony. "And why do you have a hat?"

She rubbed her head. OWWW.

"My name's Applejack," the pony introduced herself, shifting her hip (and her cutie mark) just to make a point. Hmph. Like nopony had heard that one before.

"And it's my favorite hat, thank you very much. Keeps the sun out of my eyes while I'm workin'. So...what would your name be, then?"

She couldn't really think of a witty guess. That was Spike's specialty, really.

Applejack, DUH. How did she forget that name? Granted, she didn't remember Applejack having a Southern accent, but what the hell? It was actually kinda cool.

"My bad again. Where I'm from, pony's don't talk...or wear hats. Then again, I'm from Manhattan, so all I've seen are horses anyway."

She grinned. "Name's Mindy, Mindy Macready. Sorry to mess with you, just making the best out of a really weird situation."

"Manhattan? Never heard of it, but I've got an auntie and uncle in Manehattan. We didn't have humans there either," she answered, shuddering at the memory of that night.

"Well it's sure nice to get that cleared up, Mindy," she grinned, making an attempt at getting herself close enough to offer a hoof to shake. She wavered to and fro, but managed to get nearby eventually.

"Different strokes, different folks, I guess," Mindy said, actually making an attempt not to swear in front of Applejack. Somehow it would have just been wrong, to do that in front of a My Little Pony.

Mindy flapped her wing tentatively. Applejack was friendly enough, and truthfully, once you got over the annoying parts of this, the wings were sort of fun. If they had happened while she was Hit Girl though, that would have sucked. Only devil wings or something would have been acceptable.

"So. How are you dealing with the all mighty sip o' meat?"

Applejack nodded encouragingly, glad at least somepony was managing her wings well.

"It's not home. I miss the dirt, the sun...everything about Equestria. But Hydroponics isn't so bad. I can still farm, I can still fight. And apparently I can fly too," she groused at the end.

She was getting the hang of them now, anyway. It hadn't been easy.

"It's not so bad to miss your world I sort of miss mine too. Of course, the longer I'm here, the less I have to miss. I would miss my dad, but he wouldn't be there if I was sent back anyway."

Applejack's face darkened. Well that didn't sound right.

"What happened to him?"

Mindy raised an eyebrow. "Listen, you sound like you come from a pretty nice world, Applejack. So you might not want to know about certain others ones that are...well, a little seedier."

She WAS a My Little Pony. She didn't want to be the one responsible for defiling her innocence,
