if you had wings...


Don't you wish you could fly?

Uh, well...about that. Now you can! See, for some reason, Stacy / GLaDOS / a wizard thought it would a real hoot to curse (bless?) you and now you've sprouted wings! It doesn't matter if your species would look silly with wings, you're a book, you can already fly without them, or whatever else. Too bad, you're stuck with them!

- Post the wing type you got saddled with---choose one on your own, use a RNG to choose, or leave it up to your partner! Your partner can feel free to have wings too.
- Characters who already have wings can have them modified in some way: if they can only glide, they're now capable of flight, or they can spout glitter and rainbows upon flapping. OR you can add an appendage of your choice---horn? Tail? Tentacle? Go wild.
- React, laugh, and have fun!

Wing Types:
01. Fluffy Angel Wings - The typical type you probably think of when 'wings' come to mind - you're all fluffy and downy like a Cherub - not to mention...these are very sensitive to touch...
02. Black Wings - they're beautiful, but seem a little off - and they stick out like a sore thumb!
03. Filligree Wings - very slight, very delicate and very beautiful - these are like filmy gauze attached to your skin and the most managable - if you like spider webs.
04. Fairy Wings - two sets, lucky you, you look just like a butterfly, and man are they strong - but it's hard to get them all folded up right, isn't it?
05. Devil Wings - you're like some overgrown bat - maybe you should be the one avoiding public the most for now, these might poke someone in the eye!
06. Your choice! You don't have to choose any of these, as far as your imagination goes is fine. And if there's a wing type in your canon that makes more sense, go for it!

Starfire lifted from the roof, her own wings spreading as if they were going to help her fly. How they could help, she didn't yet know, but she would instead focus on her partner.

"You have a natural gift! Oh, it is always a joy when one of my people takes their first flight," she squealed, calling up the ritual in memory. "Come, let us see our surroundings!

She started off for the rest of the City at an easy pace, never straying far from him should she be needed.

He chuckled, always having enjoyed her cheerful company. "I jus' think of it like a flight sim. Then just adapt my knowledge of aerodynamics and viola. Instant pro flyer!" Not to mention he was completely controlling his flight through psionics, but that would make it sound less interesting!

He followed at a pleasant face, making sure to smile at her whenever he caught sight of her eyes. A warm expression for a wonderful gal right?

Starfire dipped, bobbed, and glided under and over him, happy to see him take to the skies so well.

"On my planet, this would be cause for a big celebration. The first flight is one of our happiest traditions," she cheered, flying over to kiss his cheek. Well, that was one part of it.

"Oh? Then count this as our celebration yeah?" he held her hands gently, spinning them in the air in an acrobatic move and leaning in to kiss her cheek as well, a smile on his lips as he eyed her over his shades.

"Yes!" Starfire cheered him on, laughing and twisting herself upside down. This was not a problem, not at all!

Even her little black wings seemed to be cooperating, giving her a slight extra boost. She flapped the a few ties just to test, blowing the gust this way and that.

Splicer followed close behind, dipping behind her and doing a playful roll till he was under and facing her.

"Well hello there, how's the skies treatin' ya?" He asked teasingly.

"Wonderfully. Even my wings appear to be pleased," she smiled right back, flipping around and spreading them to their full span. They really weren't so bad once she adjusted.

"Are you feeling well? Not tired at all?" New muscles could be a lot of work, she knew.

Luckily, his were made of pure psionic energy, so the strain was mainly on his mind, something he's been used to for years.

"Naw, all good. This is actually really fun. Race ya to the clock tower?" He grinned, and knowing she was a pro at this, he bolted in the direction of the clock tower, spinning mid-flight to look back at her, wink and blow her a kiss before continuing.

"Yes!" Starfire yelled, zooming right off toward the tower. weaving to the side in an attempt to get her wings to cooperate. The flutters did nothing but slow her down, but if she kept them out at an angle...there, that was all right.

She charged, large smile still on her face.

He chuckled and sped off, but it was clear who was the experienced flier here as she gained on him even with the newly acquired wings holding her back slightly.

A smile rose on his face as he began the quick ascent towards the clock tower, turning to keep going backwards so he could look at her, a grin clear on his features.

Starfire waited just a moment or two longer to catch up, flinging herself into his arms and bringing them to a slowly spinning stop atop the tower.

"You have done so very well," she praised him, still eying the wings with all the curiosity in the world.

He enjoyed the embrace, that was for sure, and he found himself holding on to her, looking at those entrancing eyes.

The wings soon began to mimic the embrace, wrapping themselves around her comfortingly. Humming pleasantly as the warm vibrations they gave off seem to settle at a nice low tune.

"Thanks. You didn't do bad yourself beautiful." He teased, knowing all to well how gifted she was at flight.

"In spite of my new additions," she added softly, giggling at the feel of his wings. Her own wings were simple black feathers tickling his.

"How do you feel, Shadow?"

"Pretty amazing right about now." His voice low as he looked at her with a smile. Rooftop scene, enjoying a quiet nice moment with an awesome girl? Yeah, he was doing more than alright.

"As I am," she agreed readily, resting her head on his shoulder. It was so wonderful to have another flier around.

"If these wings last, you can practice aerial combat! It is very enjoyable."

He held her close, rubbing her back lightly as he smiled.

"I'm glad then. And yeah, that sounds like it'd be pretty cool actually. It did cross my mind when I was first wonderin' where they'd come from."

Starfire clapped her hands happily, the wings fluttering against Splicer's arm. Oh, this would be wonderful!

"We can practice together! It is a wonderful freedom to have in combat."

"It'd be fun. I already love flying my craft while reaching my destined target back in my universe. And aerial combat in them is downright awesome, so this flight thing on wings? Is definitely a must."

He smiled, running a finger down the edge of her wings, smiling at her.

Starfire yelped lightly, pressing herself closer to him. "They favor attention and react very strongly," she whispered, delicately touching his to prove her point. She wasn't angry, really, just new to it.

"You will take to it very easily, I am certain of this. You have the strength."

He raised a brow and smiled as s pleasant shiver ran up his body.

"You think so? Thanks, I appreciate that. I'd have a long way to go to catch up to a pro like you tho, but I promise I'd work hard if these are permanent."
