Reviving a meme for great justice! Quoted from the original post:

It's Transmigration 9 Studios. No, the name doesn't make any sense, except that the owner, Stacy, has owned eight studios before this and they've all crashed and burned. Which feels so great for the actors and their sense of job security, let me tell you.

As soon as they're done with their scenes, the characters stop playing their roles and make it real. The scripts are tossed aside, and they can relax now that the cameras are off of them.

What does this mean? Well, perhaps Billy is an actual college graduate, who is disgusted with the scientific inaccuracies and techspeak mumbo-jumbo of his character. Perhaps Kang is a fit Japanese man in a rubber dragon suit. Maybe Renne is a former theater actor that speaks with a posh English accent? Who knows, perhaps Nehaa is a conservative Catholic who finds her role as a stripperiffic space goat horrifying! And it might an ongoing joke off-screen that Leon can't fight for shit, Steve's actor stands in for him during action scenes.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's have some fun!

"Zouichi..." Ildraniath arched a brow, smile still on her face, "Are you asking me out on a date?"

There was no hostility in her voice. A bit of surprise, maybe. And some amusement.

Zouichi was relieved to finally be able to return his costume and change back into normal clothes. It looked cool on television and all, but it wasn't really designed for everyday use. He couldn't imagine what the designers had been thinking when they came up with it -- no one would seriously run around battlefields in that getup... would they?

The guns were pretty cool, though. Even if they were just props.

When he made it back, he was dressed considerably more casually. He wondered where that guy that played Howard had wandered off to. Nice guy; too bad he got so much fan hate.

He flushed bright red, looking away for an instant. "Er... I... yes?"

"If you have something to do, though, I understand. I mean."

Ildraniath raised a hand, trying not to laugh. He sounded so earnest.

"I'd love to. I just need to get out of these ears, first."

Ildraniath returned a few minutes later in street clothing, look much more casual and much more comfortable. While the costumes looked amazing, they tended to be a bit awkward to move around in sometimes. Even if she did have to make it look fluid and graceful the entire time she was on-screen. She flipped a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she walked up with a grin.

"Ready to go?"

He nodded, smiling back. "So, what are you in the mood for today? I think there's a new Indian place that was supposed to open up a couple blocks down. Or I guess there's always the deli."

Zouichi paused for a moment. "Oh yeah, I was thinking I could pick your brain about something. Do you talk to the Nanoha cast very often?"

"Oh... right." Zouichi looked visibly relieved; he'd been so nervous, in fact, that he'd completely forgotten she was still in costume. "I'll just... wait here, then."

"Kinda hard to pigeon hole you though, right?" She had already taken the purple wig off, was already in her preferred clothing: black jeans, boots, red t-shirt and her hair in pigtails. She would likely have been cast aside were they not looking for the perfect girl for Hit girl: loud, rough, willing to swear, willing to get dirty. To her, it was a dream: no more playing some docile little girl on a kid's show, or being shoved into some dumb soap opera.

Thank God. That just didn't sit well.

"What would they put you in, you think?" She got along with her, in character and out. She was nice enough, sweet, the opposite of her.

"Hey, Sasami. Haven't seen you in a while." Zouichi peered over at her, curious about the new costume. "Why're you looking so down? I thought you finally bribed GLaDOS Gladys into giving up her famous cake recipe."

"Indian food sounds decent," Ildy replied with a shrug. "May as well try it out."

His question made her furrow her brow, "Oh, sometimes. I've done a scene or two with them. Why?"

Ildraniath couldn't stop herself from smiling - what a wonderful surprise after a long day at work! Still, the costume needed to come off. She gave Zouichi a wave as she headed for the dressing room. A few minutes later she was back, looking rather less elfish and more cleaned up then she had been before.

"So. What did you have in mind? Ice-skating? Or a movie?"

Zouichi nodded, then frowned slightly as he headed toward the exit. "Well, I heard a couple of people have spotted this guy hanging around their trailer. I mean, he hasn't done anything yet that I know of, but... you know how quickly that can change."

"I guess he could just be a harmless fan, but security's usually pretty good about not letting them slip past."

"Uh, skating. Unless you wanted to see Transformers 5. Or Aliens vs. Predator 4. I actually don't know what else is out."

Sasami turned to face the other girl and smiled. Her in character persona wasn't something she enjoyed, but seeing her like this made her close.

"Well, seeing as I made a fool out of myself all those months ago, I thought they were gonna let me stay in that "Child Liaison" thing forever. I'm surprised that I got as far as I am now."

"Oh! Zouichi! Hi!" Sasami said, turning to head and smiling. "Oh, no, I did! Just a little tired. I didn't expect them shunting me into a little more adventurous role was going to be this tiring."

Zouichi laughed a little, lightly. "Well, tired or not, I think you've been doing a great job. Haven't your fan mail numbers been going up lately?"

He motioned toward the direction of the trailers. "Anyway, tomorrow's a day off, right? Rest up a little, you've been working hard."

She chuckled. "You needed way more development than that. The Kain thing was kinda cool: you get to look strong and vulnerable at the same time. And you know how I feel about playing Hit Girl."

She couldn't have asked for a better part: a girl so young yet had seen enough it aged her pretty badly.

"Just tired," groaned Reimi, looking up at Sasami with a little grin. No matter how much of a brat she had been, the girl was good at what they did, and a long running series like this was bound to make a few friends.

"I'm feeling my ten years of stunt double-ness kiddo."

"Oof!" exclaimed Matt, toppling over and laughing. "Hey Kaya, I missed you too. I was just coming by, seeing people..."

He sat up awkwardly, still holding onto his cane. "My leg's healing, but my acting days are over, unless I want to stunt double for House."

"You should relax, then." Sasami said, moving to join Reimi. You could probably say that it was Reimi, both on and off the set, that calmed her earlier brattiness. "You push yourself too much, then you'll end up getting really hurt!"

"I know... I wish, though, it hadn't taken so long to get that way." Sasami admitted. She did let out a sigh.

"I guess I was just too stubborn for my own good."

Sasami couldn't help but blush - they really had ever since that major shift. She felt, well... proud. Happy, even.

"Yes, it has. And I'm glad for that...!" she said, smiling. "And don't worry, I will...! Though, I can't help but help out here just a little..."

"Yeah, wouldn't want to end up like some of my friends." She sighed. "Matt's on set by the way. You may want to see him. It's the fate that befalls all stunt people."

Matt was a stuntman who broke into the business with WITCH, and he was notorious for doing his own stunts all the time. Reimi groaned and kicked her shoes off.

"Alright..." Sasami said, nodding. She heard about what happened to him and felt bad for what had happened. She did make a note to go visit him.

A few months ago, Sasami would have scoffed at the idea of feeling sorry for some of these people. Her ego wouldn't let her be that way. Now? Just like her on-screen counterpart, she reached over and hugged the older woman in reassurance.

After the success of Kamen Rider Decade with Hikari Natsumi being a part of the cast, Hoshi, or rather Hikari Megumi, was enjoying her new role as both a beyblader and the newest role as Kamen Rider Nazca. She had to grow her hair out as well as dye it blond from the black it was normally and wear red contacts to make her role convincing enough for the audience, though that was part of the fun.

"Maaaaaan, that suit gets warm after a while," she muttered, rubbing at her back.

She sat back on a couch and sipped from a bottle of water, closing her eyes a little bit to start relaxing.
