Reviving a meme for great justice! Quoted from the original post:

It's Transmigration 9 Studios. No, the name doesn't make any sense, except that the owner, Stacy, has owned eight studios before this and they've all crashed and burned. Which feels so great for the actors and their sense of job security, let me tell you.

As soon as they're done with their scenes, the characters stop playing their roles and make it real. The scripts are tossed aside, and they can relax now that the cameras are off of them.

What does this mean? Well, perhaps Billy is an actual college graduate, who is disgusted with the scientific inaccuracies and techspeak mumbo-jumbo of his character. Perhaps Kang is a fit Japanese man in a rubber dragon suit. Maybe Renne is a former theater actor that speaks with a posh English accent? Who knows, perhaps Nehaa is a conservative Catholic who finds her role as a stripperiffic space goat horrifying! And it might an ongoing joke off-screen that Leon can't fight for shit, Steve's actor stands in for him during action scenes.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's have some fun!

Philip, or rather Masaki Raito was rather enjoying his stint at Transmigration 9 Studios. After his rather successful run with Kamen Rider W, he had come aboard the ensemble cast. Right now he was in costume, his feet propped up and a real book unfolded in his lap, nibbling at a cookie.

"Raito~!" Megumi called, waving her hand. She met up with him and sat down next to him.

"You know, I swear you're picking up habits from your character," she teased, taking one of the complimentary cookies that was on the table, taking a bite of it.

Ben hadn't been on set for a long time with the filming of Ultimate Alien back for CN. He was glad to rejoin the cast and all, and talk with his castmates. Although he was sad that Matt had to leave due to medical reasons.

Zouichi ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh as the director decided to fold for the day, unzipping the front of his armor slightly. The costume guys were great, but even the most comfortable bio-armor got a little warm after awhile.

He looked around at the milling cast and crew. He'd been planning to go out and grab dinner after they were finished for the day, if he could just find the person he was looking for...

"Fight scenes are the worst," Ildraniath said lightly as she glided past, letting her down. "We kept having to do that damn spear throw over and over again. I think my arm is going to fall out of my socket..."

She was teasing, really. It was just part of the trade.

He had been invited back to the set to see how things were going. Matt had decided to go.

Leaning heavily against the cane that he now leaned against, Matt smiled at some of his castmates who nodded back at him. It had been a tough decision but a combination of medical issues plus a multi compound fracture had forced him to quit the series. And it wasn't like he got many moments in WITCH anymore.

Looking completely out of place in that dark suit of his, Matt limped though the cast, hoping to find a few friends.

Kaya was more than happy to see him back: she and Matt were supposed to have had a whole romantic arc, and the news that he had to be written out had been a blow to her. They were good friends off set, and saying goodbye had made her sullen for several days after.

So once she saw that familiar suit, she made a beeline straight for him and collided into him so hard they were both knocked over.

"Matt, hi!" she greeted, smiling broadly. "They told me you'd come! I missed you!"

Ildraniath sighed as they finally wrapped up for the day - as amazing as the armor looked, it got very hot and wasn't nearly as light and fluid as her character made it seem. She let her down and took a deep breath - all that was left was returning everything to wardrobe and then possibly a drink or dinner.

He laboriously dragged off the gauntlets, letting them fall heavily onto the couch.

"Ildraniath." Zouichi was still in costume, too, but he made his way up to her anyway; wardrobe could wait a few minutes. He talked to her fairly regularly, of course -- they were castmates who had scenes together pretty often. But today he seemed a little more on edge than usual. "What's up? Are you going straight home today?"

The cardboard book prop lay lifeless on the ground. It would be replaced with CGI in postproduction.

Rumor had it that Zetta would be written out of the cast soon, just because the cost of Crispin Freeman's voice actor work and the cost of CG was prohibitive. That whole Teen Zetta arc had eaten up almost a quarter of the budget on his hair alone.

Zouichi plucked it off the ground. Jeez, what were they gonna do if someone stepped on it?

After a moment, he put it up to his face, deepening his (admittedly already pretty deep) baritone. "I'm Zetta, the most baddest overlord in the universe! What are you peons looking at? Zetta Beam!"

Heh heh heh. It was kind of fun.

Reimi groaned as she stepped out of her shoes and set them to the side. "Oh wow, do I ache," she moaned.

Lately Reimi had been complaining of back pain, a sign that she had strained something during one of the fights. She stumbled over to the trailer that served as most of the girls' bunks and slid into a chair. "Please tell me I don't have to move from this place... I feel like I went ten rounds with my Star Ocean castmates from when I was a stunt double in 3."

Sasami, well... she had a major change of heart. A real big one. After the whole Darksoul arc, she came to learn that her castmates kinda did hate her. She felt horrible over it and wanted to change.

The KAIN arc (coupled with meeting and befriending Reimi) was just that - she had mellowed out considerably and was actually getting better roles here and there.

Zedd let out a cough as he moved to remove the headgear that made up his character's face and scalp. Between wearing it and having to speak with that growl, it was a surprise that he hasn't lost his voice yet.

"Oh, I'm so glad that's over with." he said, grabbing a bottle of water and chugging it down.

Negi was exhausted.

He was laying on a couch designated as "Negi's couch". Between Akamatsu keeping him on a strict canon-update schedule, and the fact that every time he appeared he was in that horribly heavy pink outfit, the kid was beat.

"I feel like a train ran over me," he groaned, the Chamo plushie laying at his side. Barry the Platypus nodded, wearing a little hat. He had been loaned out from Disney, being Perry the Platypus after all.

"At least you're getting some screen time!" Vivio said, moving to join him. Sacred Heart was still perched on her head, but really wasn't moving.

"It seems like they wanna push me to the side a bit. I don't mind it, but I worry sometimes."

"Finally," Ann Wales mumbled to herself, quickly reaching into her mouth and extracting the two thin crescent shapes of white acrylic that made her thirty-two teeth look like forty. She also peeled the blue felt dots from the corners of her mouth (used for tracking the digital mouth-widening effects) and handed these objects to the waiting prosthetics artist.

"Four months," she grumbled to herself, heading for the craft services area to grab a snack. "Four months and you'll be out of here, no problem, says my agent. You're playing a female OC with a silly name and no magic powers who doesn't put out – of COURSE the director will off you as soon as she can!"

She grabbed an (unbuttered) English muffin and a cup of coffee, and slipped out through the side door to sit on a discarded chair and watch the sun set over the lot. Her plastic plantsuit was pinching, as always, and she yanked the Velcro loose under both arms to let in some airflow.

"But no," she continued, grumbling to nothing. "Now the filming's been extended – two years! Maybe more! And the script doctor keeps throwing me at people at random, but it never sticks..."

A bright-eyed sparrow came chirping to her foot; she smiled and dropped a scrap of muffin, and watched as the bird snatched it up eagerly and went flying away.

"Well, it's a living."

"You want to be out of work?" Zouichi, now in his street clothes, stretched, yawning as he held a half-eaten croissant in one hand.

Sasami flopped on her chair, a look of exhaustion on her face. The decision to be more action oriented was welcome, but not like this! She looked at the costume the designers cobbled together for her "battle armor". It looked light, but the various pieces altogether made it weigh a bit more than it should.

Doffing off her shoes and shin guards and letting her hair loose, she let out a sigh.

"Well... at least I'm no longer really pigeon-holed into anything..."

"Kinda hard to pigeon hole you though, right?" She had already taken the purple wig off, was already in her preferred clothing: black jeans, boots, red t-shirt and her hair in pigtails. She would likely have been cast aside were they not looking for the perfect girl for Hit girl: loud, rough, willing to swear, willing to get dirty. To her, it was a dream: no more playing some docile little girl on a kid's show, or being shoved into some dumb soap opera.

Thank God. That just didn't sit well.

"What would they put you in, you think?" She got along with her, in character and out. She was nice enough, sweet, the opposite of her.

After the success of Kamen Rider Decade with Hikari Natsumi being a part of the cast, Hoshi, or rather Hikari Megumi, was enjoying her new role as both a beyblader and the newest role as Kamen Rider Nazca. She had to grow her hair out as well as dye it blond from the black it was normally and wear red contacts to make her role convincing enough for the audience, though that was part of the fun.

"Maaaaaan, that suit gets warm after a while," she muttered, rubbing at her back.

She sat back on a couch and sipped from a bottle of water, closing her eyes a little bit to start relaxing.
