Reviving a meme for great justice! Quoted from the original post:

It's Transmigration 9 Studios. No, the name doesn't make any sense, except that the owner, Stacy, has owned eight studios before this and they've all crashed and burned. Which feels so great for the actors and their sense of job security, let me tell you.

As soon as they're done with their scenes, the characters stop playing their roles and make it real. The scripts are tossed aside, and they can relax now that the cameras are off of them.

What does this mean? Well, perhaps Billy is an actual college graduate, who is disgusted with the scientific inaccuracies and techspeak mumbo-jumbo of his character. Perhaps Kang is a fit Japanese man in a rubber dragon suit. Maybe Renne is a former theater actor that speaks with a posh English accent? Who knows, perhaps Nehaa is a conservative Catholic who finds her role as a stripperiffic space goat horrifying! And it might an ongoing joke off-screen that Leon can't fight for shit, Steve's actor stands in for him during action scenes.

He had been invited back to the set to see how things were going. Matt had decided to go.

Leaning heavily against the cane that he now leaned against, Matt smiled at some of his castmates who nodded back at him. It had been a tough decision but a combination of medical issues plus a multi compound fracture had forced him to quit the series. And it wasn't like he got many moments in WITCH anymore.

Looking completely out of place in that dark suit of his, Matt limped though the cast, hoping to find a few friends.

Kaya was more than happy to see him back: she and Matt were supposed to have had a whole romantic arc, and the news that he had to be written out had been a blow to her. They were good friends off set, and saying goodbye had made her sullen for several days after.

So once she saw that familiar suit, she made a beeline straight for him and collided into him so hard they were both knocked over.

"Matt, hi!" she greeted, smiling broadly. "They told me you'd come! I missed you!"

"Oof!" exclaimed Matt, toppling over and laughing. "Hey Kaya, I missed you too. I was just coming by, seeing people..."

He sat up awkwardly, still holding onto his cane. "My leg's healing, but my acting days are over, unless I want to stunt double for House."

“I figured!” Kaya replied, grinning. She eased up though: she didn’t want to hurt Matt for being too overzealous. “I’m glad you could make it! I hoped that you were still getting more work: I tried to keep in touch, but I’ve been getting swamped with all of the stuff I had to do.”

She looked genuinely sympathetic. “How’s the leg?”

"Ah I'm kind of just running on residuals right now," admitted Matt. "My role in WITCH has been cut down severely, especially since after my accident."

He thumped it one. "Healing. But I'll walk with a limp for a long time."
