A Visit from the Magical Snow Fairy

This comm has been quiet for TOO LONG.

The ship is now full of snow. Seriously. It's in the hallways. It's in your bedroom. It's all over the mess hall, the sensoriums, and of course the city. How did it get here? WHO KNOWS! It's just everywhere snow should be and then a whole lot more.

NOW DEAL WITH IT!

(Meme is, as usual, open to literally anybody. Ever.)

Meanwhile, in Engineering...

"Our computers are full of snow. Our inventions are full of snow. The gears are frozen and liquid's ruined just about everything else. What a perfect day."

Billy was not a happy camper. He was sloshing through the snow-covered laboratory in dismay, taking note of all the things that couldn't be salvaged. What an expensive loss this was.

"...I guess now would be a bad time to tell you 'keep a cool head', wouldn't it?" There's a half-hearted grin on Tommy's face as he says this, though.

Billy turns in surprise, falling straight into a snowdrift that he'd swept up. That voice is completely unexpected. One look at Tommy, though, and he's fighting a laugh. It's still the same old Tommy from the visitation day.

"And I thought Kimberly's puns were awful. You must've learned from someone," he grins, pushing himself back up. "All right, I concede. My head's cool enough. I'm dreading the amount of work that's landed with the snow."

Tommy can't help but chuckle as Billy falls into the drift. "Yeah, I'd expect so after that, and...well, guess the kids I worked with rubbed off on me a little." His hands rest on his hips a moment as he glances around, nodding. "Not gonna deny that, but..." he pushes his sleeves up, then gives Billy a familiar determined look. "Where do we start?"

Billy will let it slide. This time. He hauls himself up with the help of one of the tables, dusting himself off. "Your students are as...creative as we were?"

As Billy still was, he supposed, but he liked to sidestep the age gap issue whenever possible. He shuffled about the lab, plucking a few of the more delicate pieces out of the snow and setting them aside.

"I'm pulling our sturdiest equipment free. I'm going to generate heat to use on the devices that can withstand some heat and liquid exposure, and then we'll worry about the smaller things."
