A Visit from the Magical Snow Fairy
This comm has been quiet for TOO LONG.
The ship is now full of snow. Seriously. It's in the hallways. It's in your bedroom. It's all over the mess hall, the sensoriums, and of course the city. How did it get here? WHO KNOWS! It's just everywhere snow should be and then a whole lot more.
NOW DEAL WITH IT!
(Meme is, as usual, open to literally anybody. Ever.)

Grif hadn't noticed the mural until then. He'd been in here only a few times, and usually not for very long. He'd never had the time to examine it.
"What's the picture of?"

He muttered a curse at the amount of snow that had built up, and kicked at a pile with a foot. "An old battle. The Dark Knights didn't like the idea of not being able to control us anymore, and tried to wipe us all out."

"Dark Knights? Is that a serious name?"

He exhaled heavily, as if this were a grave and serious matter. "I'm sorry Kang, but I cannot take your bad guys seriously. They sound like they were off some saturday morning cartoon. I mean, no offense."

"I know it all sounds a lot like some silly fantasy novel from your world, but on mine, it's reality."

His voice rose a bit. He loved complaining about this nonsense.
"I got drafted into the Red Army because apparently they were one guy short. And they stationed me out in a box canyon in the middle of nowhere to fight a bunch of blue guys. No aliens, no glory, just a bunch of cockbites and a stupid flag we were supposed to steal from 'em."

He scuffed at the snow by his chair with one boot. "I kind of gave up on Command making sense a long time ago. I was just gonna live through all that bullshit and go home. You know, ride it out."
