THE
SICK MEME
☀ Post your character, one-ish per comment
✫ They are now, for some odd reason, sick (headache, fever, runny nose, cough, whatever you want)
☀ Another character replies and is struck with the sudden urge to take care of them (bringing them soup, extra blankets, Sudafed, sexual healing, what have you)
✫ ???

C'mon, Jamie...

[ And this would be Kaylee dragging the blankets away from his face and gently placing a hand on his forehead. The thermometer is at the ready. ]
Open.

He...mmmp!
[It's terrifically easy to take someone's temperature when they open their mouth like that. It's also fairly evident he has a fever even without the thermometer...and that he's rather cranky about the whole thing.]
Mmmm, mmm. MM.

He's definitely got a fever, judging by how quickly her hand pulls back from his forehead. She tries not to look too worried as the thermometer goes in. ]
You eaten anythin'?
no subject
'M not hungry.
no subject
What kinda 'not hungry'?
no subject
Just don't feel much like eating right now.
[Not nauseous, it seems. Jamie realizes, though, it's probably better to not push Kaylee too far at the moment, and he reluctantly puts the thermometer back in his mouth.]
no subject
Alright...if that changes, you let me know.
[ She smiles a little--good man, Jamie, putting that thermometer back--and slides him a tylenol and glass of water for when he's ready. ]

Are ye satisfied now?
no subject
Be satisfied when that fever's gone. Lay back down, I'll get you some more water...

[Therefore, he'll be perfectly fine. After this next round of coughing, that is. Once it's passed, however, he obligingly finishes the rest of the water and settles back down.]
Thank ye, Kaylee.

...Maybe that jam really was expired.

[He breaks off as another round of coughing wracks his body.]
...cough.

The down cover with the hideous pastel ducklings shifts as Jamie coughs]
What was that? I missed that last part, you really must speak up!
no subject
It tasted funny.

[The Doctor reaches out since Jamie's face is sticking out of his cover pile, touching his hand to his cheek and then his forehead. Burning up but also shivering. He'll have to note this for next time and remind himself to really toss out jam like that next time instead of offering it to his friends]
So when did you start feeling any side effects?
[The Doctor is pushing a tray of tea and some soup toward Jamie. Or more like he's quietly nudging him with the tray and seeing if he'll bite.
The tea, by the way, will be the most amazing, spectacularly delicious tea Jamie's ever tasted. The Doctor is just that good.]

[He lets the touching slide without comment, which should say something. This is the same man who wanted to walk around on his leg after it was shot, and so he should be complaining rather more. Right now, he just looks mildly cross, which is about all the energy he seems to be able to manage.]
I don't know. A few hours, maybe? I've had a wee tickle in my throat since this morning, though.
[He looks at the soup and the tea, and then withdraws back into the covers. It's not for long, though - he's just pushing himself up into a sitting position. He does put his hand to his head for a moment before reaching for the tea. The soup is ignored.]
no subject
[The Doctor has no idea what's in store for him later. Seeing the soup isn't touched, the Doctor covers the bowl with an old china dish to keep it from getting too cold. ]
no subject
Hey, that's pretty good tea, Doctor.
no subject
no subject
Aye...well, maybe a wee bit better than that.

Oh, I don't know about that, Doctor. What about that wee tea shop we visited on Hesperia Prime?
