The I'd Hit It Meme

The I'D HIT IT Meme
{borrowed/inspired by: [livejournal.com profile] nottome}

Let's face it. There are some pretty hot people out there. Ever pointed somebody out to your friends and say, I'd hit it?

Well now you have the chance to say it to their faces!
The rules of the game are simple:

1. Comment as your character. (One comment per character.)

2. Comment to others!!! Don't be shy!!!

3. Got a friend who's too shy? Post their character's name for them! They may or may not thank you for it.

4. IT'S FOR FUN, YOU GUYS. FUN!

Y-yes! It is. Very much so.

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure what culture approves of going up to people at random and telling them you'd have sex with them.

...though there's probably a few.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Humanity, apparently.

And don't forget using something that sounds violent as a indication of attraction.

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
We're usually more subtle about it, though. Or I am, at least. Some of the pick-up lines I've heard are a bit more direct.

That's actually not that unusual. The English word for sprock origins with a word that can mean "to strike." Don't ask me.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe this was started by some of the less subtle members of your species?

That's a little odd as well. But then so are a lot of things humans - and other humanoid species, I suppose - do. At least from my perspective.

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-01-20 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't help but think they would be even less subtle.

They're odd from my perspective too. But that's just because I don't know the reason why it's like that yet.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Is it even possible to be less subtle?

Reason why what's like that?

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. They could've posted something about how great they are and said to comment and they'd get back to you if you met their standards.

There's always reasons. You can't assume it doesn't make sense just because you're not familiar with something like it.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
You apparently didn't notice how some of them do do that.

Oh, I see. I understand that aspect, actually. Though I'm not sure I want to understand some of the reasons.

[identity profile] smartnass.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
The Legion ring might've convinced them I'm not someone to annoy. Though it seems to encourage flirting, not discourage it.

Yeah, in that case I worry it'll be some barbaric part of our past. That would just be depressing.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Really? I hadn't noticed that side effect. Are you sure it's not something more specific to yourself?

"But alas--they were all too savage. . . . There they were, all ready to teach me their customs and beliefs and I knew nothing of their language."

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
...

How in the hell did you get your reputation?

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Frowning] I'm a twelfth-level intellect. That's how.

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
Whatever that says about processing power, it's not carrying over into performance. In any of you.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
What is that supposed to mean?

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
It's an insult, meant to belittle the practical applications of your intelligence in the realm of cryptology.

[She chuckles, not at all nastily.]

That you have to ask reinforces the opinion.

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
That might be because I'm more skilled in areas such as science and invention. Not to mention cultural differences that come into play.

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
So you're a specialist to such a degree that is causes a detriment of basic social function?

[identity profile] standaloneshell.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
It's a societal specialization? [This isn't even clever, she's just bored.]

[identity profile] brainy-bot.livejournal.com 2010-01-21 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
My species are inorganic, reject their emotions, and strive to separate themselves from the rest of the galaxy as much as possible. Social interaction is at a bare minimum and the desire to be otherwise is seen as abnormal and will make you an outcast.

Since I left I've had more chances to learn about such things, but I've only been away from Colu for five years. A lot of things that are second nature to you aren't for me.
