~~I feel vaguely bad posting this since we've had a few other memes over the last few days but. I wanna spam the hell out of everyone. .___.~~

In honour of the fact that it's Valentine's tomorrow in my corner of the world, I bring you the Blind Date Meme!

Somehow, someway, your character has agreed to a blind date (or several). Maybe they were coerced into it, maybe they don't actually mind the idea, maybe it's just Stacy messing with everyone's heads again, but they're here now. And at the very least, it shouldn't be boring for them.

♥ Make a comment for your character, you can outline a mini-setting if you want. (Think along the lines of the 'Waking up in bed' meme we had a little while back.)

♥ Other characters comment to that as the other half of the blind date!

[Maybe not, but Lyle is stuck floating there and trying very hard not to make a big deal over this. Which is unfair. If your foot is hurt, you should get to swear and whimper a lot.]

It's ... it's all right. [Lyle is a manly man and will stand up straight and ignore it. It does hurt less already.]

Are you sure? There are a lot of delicate bones in the area and it wouldn't take much to check them just in case...

Very much so. I find it extremely handy considering the Legion's... perchance for injury. It helps a lot if there's someone who can perform emergency treatments around for large missions as well.

[Lyle nods.]

Until we got Dr. Gym'll on staff, Brainy handled all our weird health issues. Drove him nuts.

[He smirks.]

Tell me about it. Of course I'm limited by what my technology can achieve out in the field, but the medical facilities on the Legion's cruisers are generally very up to date.

It was more along the lines of ... Brainy, after fighting that mage I glow in the dark, and now I can't sleep!

I guess I should count myself pretty lucky that I haven't been eaten by space whales yet.

Thankfully I don't tend to get problems with that. Though there was the issue with Matter Eater Lad and the Emerald Eye of Ekron...

Really? He applied for try-outs and passed with good results. And Bouncing Boy was in the Legion since before I joined. In fact, Chuck was team leader at one point.

I suppose it's just one of those reality things?

Chuck would probably make a good leader. He has a good head on his shoulders.

I guess so. I'd still like to know what happened to me in your universe. I'd hate to think I'm still working as a spy for the UP.

He does. His leadership during a crisis was what won him the role as well.

...I wonder about that as well. We did have someone try out for the Legion some years ago with invisibility powers, but they weren't named Lyle Norg.

[Lyle tries to hide his expression here by looking away.]

[It's such a good thing he was prepared for that and looking away. Though now he's having idle thoughts of going to B5's universe and stealing his Jacques.]

To be honest, I'm not sure what you're supposed to be talking about in a situation such as this. You probably have more experience there than I do.
