He bugs her because she can't figure him out. And yet, she finds him charming. She's generally operating under the assumption that he's well-intentioned and just eccentric and as such, she'll agree to do weird things with him, but she never really lets her guard down.

Basically, he's an adult. Where Nura is from, she and her teammates don't really put a lot of trust in adults, who've oppressed them and broken them and ruled them basically like children are property.

Nura put a lot of trust in Luis, and she really did think of him as a friend, so...for her to find out that she was wrong to place her trust in him. An adult. And find out that.



Whoo boy. You didn't want to see her destroy a hundred training bots in her rage. You woulda died!

Aang's his buddy!

No, seriously. After the whole 'being stuck in the astral plane for several years' thing before the Nightmare King incident, Aang's the closest thing Cargn has to a normal friend.

He does feel sorry for all of Aang's burdens he has to carry, but he also respects him for carrying them so well. Beyond that, he finds his typical optimism and enthusiasm refreshing.

If Aang ever needs anyone to rely on outside of his own circle, Cargn is there for him.

Oh she loves her some Kang.

It seems like, out of everyone on the ship, Kang's the only one Eva sees as both an equal and a friend. Her other regular associates are mostly young people that she tries to mother, and people she doesn't have much in common with. Whereas in Kang she sees a lot of kindness and a certain pragmatism she respects, as well as a kindred loving, wounded parent. She likes that Kang never patronizes her and lets her work things out on her own accord, and feels flattered that he trusts her enough to be honest with her about the Second Life thing.

Eva cares about Katara WHOLE BIG BUNDLES. Eva feels pretty bad about the Marco vs. Katara thing, but for a variety of reasons she isn't going to push the issue with Marco.

OKAY OKAY in all seriousness - the Gaang is great and they are Zuko's buddies and he likes them and appreciates them, but to some degree, they still became his friends out of necessity. And they all personally know what a terrible person he used to be.

Hiccup, on the other hand, is not just the only friend Zuko ever made without a pre-existing relationship or help from someone else. Hiccup is the first friend Zuko made as HIMSELF, the person he is now, the person who is the way he is for the sake of his own healthy ideals and principles, not for the sake of his father's warped ones.

Hiccup is the only friend Zuko has who only knows the Zuko he wants to be known for being: the determined, noble Fire Lord who believes in determination, honor, and getting the job done with humanity and dignity and respect and hard goddamn work. And Hiccup likes that person. This just humbles Zuko utterly, because while he's never been cruel to Hiccup, Zuko is not Nice by nature, and generally, this turns people away from him. But Hiccup appreciates his directness and determination, which is the only trait Zuko has consistently valued in himself throughout his life. He sees that inner determination as the thing that Hiccup has just needed to become the person he wants to be, and being someone who only recently became the person he wants to be, he wants to help Hiccup get there . . . and he's humbled and touched that Hiccup actually likes him, in all his jerky hardass glory.

That somebody actually likes him, the real him, and appreciates the things he appreciates about himself, sort of confirms him very strongly as a person. And he can see the seeds of those same virtues he values in himself, and wants to help Hiccup get over his weaknesses and become a stronger, more whole person, because being a stronger, more whole person feels great.

So yeah, they are pretty friggin' bromantic and if anybody tries to beat on Hiccup while Zuko's in earshot they will get burned and Zuko will get violations, so, you know, don't get yourself in trouble, Hiccup. =|

Cargn knows that youth brings many confusing and unpleasant situations, and he knows that Katara is no exception either. He feels sorry that she's going through a lot, but he also believes she has the ability to get through it as well.

One of Howard's two friends on Spacey Stacy! Howard likes Megamind - he doesn't feel like he can be himself around MM, but he can be a slightly closer approximation. Being a bit of a dweeb, Howard enjoys that Megamind is too. At the same time, he feels like Megamind's a bit naive and idealistic, and fully expects this 'hero' thing to blow up in MM's face.
