NAKED MEME
Suddenly.
You are naked.
All of you. Even you, over there, the already naked guy.
Except for one thing.
You all have fig leaves over your privates. They cannot be removed or destroyed. They are large enough to cover everything. (They might itch a little)
Oh, and even already naked people with no visible privates will have the leaves, either over their naughty bits' actual locations, or just where they should be.

"I - that - hardly appropriate - what are hormones?"
There's so much about that sentence that just made all of her middle-class Chinese sensibilities explode, she barely knows where to begin.

Oh. "Well, hormones, as afar as I figure, are the things that change the way you feel about somebody else when you seem them like we are now. For instance, if you're a naked kid and you see another naked kid, no big deal, right? The body is the body. But if you're older, you're taught shame and how to cover your body, so it becomes a bigger thing. When you're a teenager and you suddenly start to become aware of how different bodies are, and the feelings they bring, THEN you see the reason for covering up."
Well, as far as she knew, anyway. "What did I say that wasn't appropriate?"

"After this, I am going to pray to each and every god that I hear of that I never find myself naked around other people who are not my fiance, and that I never see a naked man who isn't my fiance."
. . . suddenly, the fact that she's openly announced she'd like to see Shang naked catches up to her, and she blushes a very, VERY deep shade of red.
"It's just . . . it's not proper, especially for a woman, especially for an engaged woman! If my family saw us like this - if the people who know my family saw us like this -"
Ancestors: shamed forever. Again. Maybe for keeps.

She laughed. "Mulan, your family isn't here, relax! Worrying like this isn't healthy. Just concentrate on that person you care about and you'll be all right."
