~~I feel vaguely bad posting this since we've had a few other memes over the last few days but. I wanna spam the hell out of everyone. .___.~~

In honour of the fact that it's Valentine's tomorrow in my corner of the world, I bring you the Blind Date Meme!

Somehow, someway, your character has agreed to a blind date (or several). Maybe they were coerced into it, maybe they don't actually mind the idea, maybe it's just Stacy messing with everyone's heads again, but they're here now. And at the very least, it shouldn't be boring for them.

♥ Make a comment for your character, you can outline a mini-setting if you want. (Think along the lines of the 'Waking up in bed' meme we had a little while back.)

♥ Other characters comment to that as the other half of the blind date!

[Guess who's getting grabbed and hauled to his feet, Brainy? Can you guess?]

[IS IT SOMEONE OTHER THAN HIM? ...didn't think so.]

W-wait! But I don't know how to--!

[Oh it is a terrible thing for Lyle is suddenly deaf to the protests of all tiny adorable robots. How did this happen?]

[He is also dragging Brainy around in a sort-of waltz, because he doesn't know how to dance either. But he knows how to look confident about it.]

[Thank grife for flight rings. They make this kind of thing so much easier.]

[Brainy can't actually tell Lyle has no idea what he's doing either, so he just kind of goes with it because Lyle is apparently not going to let him go. Dammit.]

[What they didn't cover dancing in spy school? James Bond would be shocked.]

Hey, at least try. It doesn't count if you don't move your feet.

[All he has to do is swing him around in a repetitive pattern, right? He can do that.]

[Lyle could probably pick it up easily if he wanted to. But knowing how to do things the Proper Way is too Politician-ish.]

...will this be over sooner if I do? [He does it anyway, but the flight ring is still taking a lot of his weight, just in case.]

[It's probably for the best that there's no other dancers here.]

Good. Simple, right? Relax, move with the music...

[Apparently, Lyle doesn't have to know what he's doing to enjoy it.]

...How can you move with music? It's not directing me anywhere and it's just sound waves travelling through the air...

[He's sort of enjoying himself, but largely following Lyle's lead. And still not getting things.]

You follow the rhythm. The tempo. Hit the beats. [Do stuff in time with stuff. Do the robot.]

...Lyle, we're not exactly doing that very well, if that was your goal. [He's AWESOME at the robot!]

Oh? So you lead. [Yes, that is a challenge.]

...I. Alright.

[He may cheat a little and take the dance into the air, since theoretically doing this kind of thing with flight rings gets rid of problems like 'that was Lyle's toe I just stepped on heavily' and just leaves the moving to the music part.]

[Lyle is not going to comment and break Brainy's concentration. He's busy patting himself on the back for once again conning him into something anyway. He really must not have his own Lyle or it wouldn't be this easy.]

[Brainy's too busy figuring out this music thing to notice Lyle's schemeyness. Finally he thinks he's gotten the general gist of it down; similar to how Lyle was moving earlier but at a different pace.]

There. See?

[Lyle nods in approval.]

Very good. And now we can move on to flourishes.

Flourishes?

Right. When I raised my arm, you twirl out and then in again.

Why do I have to do that?

Because it gets boring otherwise. And it looks good.

Why don't you do it then?

Because I'd have to go under your arm.

[And you're short.]

[raises his eyebrows]

It'll look silly, but okay.

I expect to see slapping and pulling of hair!

Can't they just try and out-ego each other?

until their chests swell with ego so much they explode? slapping is less cruel

Last one to explode wins!

If you're going to have an ego contest, you don't mess around.

The Lyles may have to interfere

Always sticking their noses into other people's ego-fights.

On second thought, while they're off doing that, the Lyles are free to run the labs

...better upgrade the Lyle-traps.

Why? You won't need that lab once your asploded

He could get better! ..........maybe.

B5 would win the ego-contest by default because he can repair himself after exploding

He then ego-asplodes several other times while pointing out how much better this makes him.
