The fourteen year old wunderkind who's skipped god only knows how many grades. She's arrogant as fuck, too.

[identity profile] worm-dancer.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
Sheeana had a persuasive voice, one she could make drip with honey and implied promises. Boys had begun to notice this at a young age and she had taken up this weapon, along with the ones her body gave her, using it to pry secrets. She was pretty yes, but not one who had bloomed early, not, in short, blessed with gazongas. But she used every ounce pound for pound with the consumnate and deadly skill of a proffesional boxer. She had a carefully maintained bad girl reputation that simmered just under the surface but was never out there enough to give anyone ammunition against her. Grades not too good and not too bad, though substantially below her capabilities. That intelligence was directed elsewhere.

She knew everything about everyone and used it to conduct little experiments on the student body. Setting mean girl on mean girl. Making the football team think there was a homo in their midst. Blackmailing teachers whose affairs she knew. She winked at honor students and they did her bidding. She

She stalked the halls with a secret smile. Today, between classes, she was on her way to see one of her 'little birds'...

There are a few who manage to avoid the manipulation. Tess, for example, pays little attention to rumor or reputation - and though far from spotless, the information available about the redheaded transfer student leads to few solid conclusions.

So Sheeana gets a knowing smile on her way by.

"Perfectly alright!"

Zelda gave the other girl a smile - her fellow long-haired (although Zelda's was in a neat braid, today), delicately-featured honours student with a regal bearing, she couldn't help but feel like she had some common ground with her. "Are you on your way to honours?"

She would have someone to walk with other than Sheik, then (who, really, was never far behind, hands stuffed in the pockets of his skinny jeans and seemingly looking disinterested at the world).

OOC notes!

Zelda's a rich girl - her father is a rather high-up politician - but thoroughly dislikes the position, and is rather, well, nerdier than is technically acceptable for the rich clique. She really likes books. And studying. And books. She normally dresses rather conservatively, with neat skirts (no higher than knee length!), stockings or knee-high socks, button-up shirts and neat sweaters, and usually keeps her hair braided.

Sheik's her BFF since childhood, and tends to, ah, fit the emo stereotype better. Like, the flipped-over hair, skinny jeans and XXS long-sleeved shirt, and eyeliner. (Seriously, check the in-game graphics. He has heavier eyeliner than Zelda does.) He also plays the harp. Make of that what you will. In this little AU, his aunt Impa plays personal assistant to Zelda's father and practically raised Zelda along with him.

Also, I totally didn't write a 60k+ word fic about this for last year's NaNoWriMo. Really.

Isaac's classes were the best. He led the students through creating machines in the use of pranks, helped them engineer outlandish bongs and guided them through the process of making rude Rube Goldberg machines. He was always quick with a joke and could be persuaded to buy you cigarettes. His were the students of last resort, who had no interest in other classes and his was the booming laughter that had brought many of them back to school.

Often he preffered their company to those of his fellow teachers. Was this due to a consumnate dedication to teaching or simple immaturity? You could ask him as he ate his lunch (giant sub, microbrew beer) in his classroom instead of the teacher's lounge.

[identity profile] twelvevoltman.livejournal.com 2010-02-27 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Allen will, since he prefers eating lunch in a classroom to the cafeterias, where he's ripe for the picking-on by every bully taller than him, which is most of them.

"So, how many strings do you have to pull to get to drink during work?" asks the underaged student prodigy over his own lunch of PB+J, Capri Sun, and three oreos.

[identity profile] agyieus.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Apollo is the very outspoken substitute teacher. He leans heavily to the left on subjects of politics, and can get into long, loud conversations about it. He's mostly a pretty relaxed guy, he doesn't seem quite bright enough to cover all of the subjects they stick him into though. However, students step carefully around him, no matter how friendly he is. Apollo's gotten into trouble for laying hands on students before, breaking up a schoolyard fight with 'inappropriate force' used against both sides.

Right now, though? He's sitting at a desk with his chin propped up on his hand, trying not to nod off during the educational video he'd been asked to show the class.

Judging from the thump of his head hitting the desk, and the soft snores that follow, he failed.

[identity profile] proffesorcrisis.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
When the students had filtered out, Isaac couldn't help notice his fellow loony leftard proffesor slumped in a comedic posture of sleep on his desk. He leans over it.

"Sir, i'm going to have to ask you to come with us. Now." He said in his best cop voice.

Katara is a fourteen year old girl who made it to Stacy High School all on her own by skipping a grade. Her parents, not being well to do, sent her abroad to study on a scholarship. Katara keeps a modest dress with a white blouse, blue brooch, thigh high plaid skirt with matching stockings and simple black shoes. She does sometimes thread some beads in her hair just to shake things up though. She usually burns some of this off on the gymnastics team, but Katara is not a girl to be pigeonholed into one thing.

She is also in honor classes, and is usually making friends with anyone despite their reputation (including a certain "bad girl" seventeen year old who has her thumb on the pulse of the student body). Despite being a stickler to getting things done and adhering to school rules, the more adventurous part of her loves to do things that are a little dangerous to prove she's no stick in the mud.

Fate is the star of the track team. She's good at a few other sports too, but running is when she really shines. She's also got an incredible gift for music; not playing any sort of instrument, but singing. And she's pretty easy on the eyes, too! Long blonde hair, beautiful red eyes, a slim body... it's no wonder some of the younger students have developed a sort of fan club for her.

And you'd think that a girl like this would be one of the most popular girls in school, right? Wrong. Fate's actually a bit shy, and doesn't have more than a few friends. But she's friendly to everyone she meets, so it's not like she's a loner or anything.

Oh, and she also has a huge crush on her best friend, Nanoha Takamachi. She's probably one of those people who stutter over a plan to confess while pacing in the bathroom. Which is where you can find her now, should any girls choose to walk in.

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
And Katara would be the girl to walk into the bathroom that day, just trying to make sure that her brooch isn't on crooked and that her hair isn't out of place: that could happen at any time. When she saw the red faced girl going back and forth.

"Fate, isn't it?" Katara asked. "Are you sick? You look a little flushed."

And speaking of a person who may or may not be currently a matter of discussion in the thread above this one: Nanoha Takamachi, member of the school's diving team (it's a really well-funded school, okay?) is currently wrapping up practice in the pool.

There's something exhilarating about the feel of jumping into freefall thirty feet above the surface of the water, and feeling the air whip around you as you spin, tuck, and curl before plunging into the cool depths below. She loves it; she's loved it ever since she learned how to dive. So she'll practice on her own even after official practice is over, out of love more than anything else.

[identity profile] thunder-ace.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
And once Nanoha's done with her practice, she'll find her best friend waiting by the side of the pool with a towel in her hand. She's also really, really hoping Nanoha doesn't notice her slight blush. She's trying not to stare, okay.

Miku works part time at the school as an office lady for the school and balancing her part-time schooling at the local art college. As she's the most junior of the secretarial staff, her day is often spent running errands for the older secretaries and spends her time delivering notes, getting lunch orders and filing papers. Because of her (unfortunately) young appearance, she is regularly mistaken for a student of the school.

No matter what business suit she wears. Uwaaa...! The lunch break finds her coming back laden with orders from a local sandwich shop, somehow managing to balance drinks, sandwiches, styrofoam bowls of hot soup and her purse as she dodges students in the hall. Miku peeks through the little space in a sandwich carrier and reminds herself that this is just like playing a horrible, horrible game of Frogger (God, please, help her).

[identity profile] demon-alessa.livejournal.com 2010-02-26 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"Miku, be careful!" She sends the oncoming students death looks, and they all scurry the other way. "Do you want to spill everything? Really, you could just ask for help instead of this. It's the best way to make yourself a casualty of the student body!"

And meet Alessa, teaching substitute who most children go out of their way to avoid. Usually with her hair braided in a tight bun and a modest skirt and blouse with dark colors, Alessa was the bane of most students existence. She took her temporary job seriously, and was fairly strict at the students that tried to treat her job as substitute as a reason to goof off.

She took some of the items out of Miku's hands. "I have a spot for us if you like."

Tess is a rather strange student. She avoids classes and her grades sink - but she aces every test, and that makes her academics shoot back up enough to avoid quite hitting failing grades. The rumors say that her parents are rich, and that she has vacations in Europe or Hawaii or something every summer - and the language and history classes she does bother to attend seem to reinforce that.

Such a sweet girl, too, seeming so innocent despite her curves and subconsciously-flirty nature. Her Appalachian accent and bright hair are what really make her stand out on a first glance.

Look for her and you might find her snuck away in the library, stretched out one of the half-comfortable chairs, flipping through web pages on her fancy-pants little smartphone.

If there was one thing Negi was good at, it was his English skills. Why would he be hired anyhow at the tender age of 10? Cause he was a damn University Graduate.

Though at the moment he was trying to get his class to settle down. "Please, settle down class, we're beginning our lesson. Who can tell me what pieces of literature I assigned for reading yesterday was all about?"

"They were all critiques of the modern educational system." Evangeline says without raising her hand.

With her seat far to the back and her head a good deal lower than those of the rest of the class, she's not easy to see, but her abrasive voice carries easily over the hubbub produced by her rowdy classmates.

Yuri is...exactly the same. She walks with the same hesitant, clumsy step. She's pathologically afraid of insects and parasites for a reason she politely refuses to discuss. Science classes leave her a hyperventilating wreck. Otherwise, she's a dutiful Japanese transfer student.

As she opens her locker, a cricket leaps out and onto her, one of those hunchbacked, tiger striped ones. She screams and a nearby group of mean girls takes up the chorus of 'Yuri keeps bugs in her locker! Swarm queen Yuri!'.

"Get lost," he frowns to the group of mean girls, then gives the younger girl a sympathetic smile. Reaching out to pluck the cricket off her shoulder before flicking it down the hall (in the direction of the mean girls, as it was), he asks gently, "Are you alright - Yuri, was it?"

Ava is That Girl. Captain of the cheerleading squad, ringleader of the school's popular clique, trendsetter, and with a father that owns roughly half of the town... she's better than you, and she knows it. (And if she pays attention to the rumors about her, especially the ones about her relationships with most of the football team, she sure doesn't show it.)

There's a game tonight, so she's in full cheer uniform with her hair in a high ponytail. She can be found sitting at a table in the cafeteria, waiting for her friends to show up.

Bruce is the Recent Transfer. No one knows much about him, besides that he'd come from boarding school in Europe. He comes from money too, and it's old money. Wealth that dates back to ancestors in the Old Country. By rights he ought to be a clique kid too. Wealthy, attractive, athletic... but there was something off about him. He didn't fraternise, and even though the family influence could get him into the Ivy League he still insisted upon excelling at his studies. All of them.

That and he had an awful habit of knowing things he really ought not to know, and had little qualm with passing them on to the administrative body. Expulsion rates had been at an all-time high since he'd arrived.

One day the boys of the social elite decided they were going to take him down a peg. Waited for him after class. He was either going to fall in line or lose a few teeth. Only three members of the football team managed to hobble into school the next day.

Yes, there was definitely something off about him. It's not like he's trying to be subtle about it either, as he uncerimoniously plants himself in the chair opposite Ava (omigosh!! he dare sit at their table?!) and stares blankly at her.

Samus was the school's star lacrosse player. Was. Her coaches and teammates threw a fit when she got kicked off the team because of her grades. The administrators were disappointed, too. They were actually considering making an exception to the grade rule for her. They thought Samus would carry the team to the state championships. What a shame.

The only person who didn't seem to be upset by it was Samus. She knew that when she didn't bother to show up to class nine times out of ten, she would fail. She knew if she failed, they would kick her off the team. She was never one to try and get out of the consequences of her actions.

She didn't want to bother with school. She didn't care. She was smart. If she actually went to class more often, there's no doubt she would have stellar grades. She just didn't see the point to being stuck there everyday from eight to three. Calculus, while easy, wasn't gonna help her get out of the crappy neighborhood she was growing up in. Integrals didn't do her any good.

So she wasn't in class. She wasn't gonna waste her time. Yeah, she's in the halls after the bell rang how rebellious. She was leaving.

Hunter tries not to be known as 'that kid with the dead parents'. To be honest, he really tries not to be known at all. He tends to stay under the radar as much as possible: average grades, no extracurricular participation whatsoever, and lunches and breaks spent in the library studying and hiding. The school's science curriculum is woefully inadequate, at least in his opinion, so he's dragged out a couple of medical textbooks and has started working his way through two at once.

Yue is... a quiet little lazy bookworm. Constantly reading this or that, her grades are just as constantly low scores. This is because while she reads all the time, rarely is she actually studying, taking notes, or working toward her studies.

She's just a university student, in the US for her study-abroad program... and yet somehow, she's ended up teaching a very large section of the school's chemistry classes. Kang had been the Honors Physics teacher at the school for the past seven years, and even though students said his course was tough as hell, they also said that it was fun, so he never had a small class. While he was easy to get along with, he was also known for not taking shit, and expected everyone to do their work. He was also the head of the local medieval LARP group, and was rather proud of the fact, even if he did get the occasional ribbing about it.

"Last week, we talked about trebuchets and hwacha in detail, and I told you that I had a little surprise planned for this semester," he grinned. "The school board's given us permission to actually construct one of these, and test it out during the spring festival. I'm going to let you vote on which."

"Oh, uh, hey Red Snout, how's that . . . whole running deal going? You still the best?"

Sokka has been the class clown and resident professional slacker as long as anybody can remember. Thing is, he's actually pretty smart, when it comes to something he's interested in (like fishing!). He could get better than average grades and just doesn't. He sleeps through half his classes and eats in the other half. As for where he is, he's lounging out on the quad playing with that dumb boomerang of his.

Somebody appreciates Sokka's boomerang (not like that, you pervs! She's got her heart set on that dreeeeeamy RotC captain, maybe he'll notice her if her parents ever let her try out -), and now that she's changed out of the ladylike blouse and skirt that her parents like to believe she wears to school and gotten into some pants, Mulan's ready for some boomer-action.

"Hey, Sokka!"

Between the tied-back hair and the flat chest, Mulan's not sure whether Sokka ever figured out that she and the girl who sits behind him in History are the same person . . . come to think of it, a surprisingly high number of students have never seemed to put the two hers together!

You know that slightly creepy girl, who usually dresses in all dark colos and just sits in the back of the classroom being very, very quiet? That's Mai. She doesn't talk to many people, although she plays a mean game of volleyball and socce and her grades are good - perfect, in fact. When she does talk, it's usually to make a snarky remark about something. Right now, she's just at her usual table in the quad, watching everyone go by.

Her overprotective, overachieving boyfriend is sitting there too, glaring at anybody who dares to make anything resembling eyes at his girlfriend, and studying for the SATs. Father expressed no pride in his last results.

Mr. Winchester's got a whistle and he's not afraid to use it. Especially when he needs to make the kids run laps. Good exercise for them anyway.

When he's not setting up balls for another round of dodgeball. Simple enough game for even these students.

This was the one class that Samus actually attended on a regular basis. Dodgeball is a very good stress release.

Principal Kirk is ex-Air Force. Astronaut in fact. Sure, he could've retired, but he hated desk jobs. He was also a star quarterback back in the day. Now he runs the school and in a pinch, can teach a damn good astronomy or physics class. Not to mention shop. He's usually pretty friendly and cheerful in fact.

All the crushed hopes and dreams of the boy's lacrosse team walking by. Remember when she got kicked off that team for not meeting school academic standards? Yeah that was pretty sad. Goodbye, state title. Also there was all those disciplinary actions that landed her in your office. Seems like he would know her face by now.
