That's right folks, it's time to bust out all the ridiculous, silly, cracktastical shenanigans you know you've always wanted to play but your characters would never do on the ship.

Oh. Whew. Kang relaxes slightly, though he's still wary. JUST IN CASE.

"...yes you are," he can humor the youngling. It is kind of... cute. Not that he'd say that out loud. Ever.

And Kang score's a point in the bronze's book. His staaaaaring gets a little less piercing.

"I'm Armaenis," he informs, as if offering a very important and useful piece of information as a favor. "Who're you, draconian?"

No. No. It is not his. It is a dragon, and for all he knows, they are brothers. He should not want to pick it up.

And there is a very excited Kaylee now standing next to Kang.

"Oh, look at the little guy!!"

"That is a very short name," Armaenis observes. He sits. It changes the angle of his neck craning to be a little more comfortable.

"What lives here? This is a very strange lair."

Oh hey what is that. Army's head snaps around to look up at Kaylee. "I know what you are! You're a human!"

STAAARING!

Kang's wings rustle again, and he looks down at Kaylee, his voice serious. "That is a bronze hatchling, Kaylee."

"Sure am! Name's Kaylee." A smile for the little guy, before she actually pays attention to Kang.

"The kind you were talkin' 'bout before?" Even so, she looks more giddy than scared.

Think we both missed it. Kang explained it to me, once. Might take another explanation or two to get it to actually stick, though.

What? It's theoretically possible some part of you guy's life cycle involves being quadrupedal and a totally different bone structure. I've seen weirder things, and it's not like I've been reading "Draconian Babies and You: What to Expect From Your New Egg."
