No More Secrets Meme

Good evening meatship, I bring you your Friday meme!

No More Secrets

1. All of your character's darkest and most embarrassing secrets, the ones that they have been holding back from the crew, are now common knowledge.

2. Since not everyone knows everyone's canon, comment with your character and a bulleted list of the things they have been holding back from the crew. These can be funny things (that time I ran around with my underwear outside my pants), embarrassing things (Little Black Book-type secrets) or the dark things they never wanted anyone to know.

3. Other characters react to these sudden revelations about your character. Will it change the way people feel about each other?

IMPORTANT: PLEASE POST WARNINGS IN THE SUBJECT LINE IF SOMETHING IN THE COMMENT IS TRIGGERY. This meme has the potential to be a lot more dramatic than our usual fare, and I want to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Muns, have fun! Characters... well, I'm not sure "fun" applies.

Matt

[identity profile] lackofdarkwings.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
1) Has mentally steeled himself that he'll be without a girlfriend for weeks to come.

2) His incredibly convoluted past has him worrying he's losing himself in dreams.

3) Occasionally dreams of black wings.

4) The time spent with Katara was the best hours of his life.

5) The stress of work is getting to him. Sooner or later, it might all come boiling out in a bad way.

Reimi

[identity profile] seraphicthunder.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
1) Still feels alone on the ship, with no close friends other than Reimi and a couple of others.

2) Has an unhealthy coping mechanism by playing Eternal Sphere often.

3) Feels like she's only contributing a little to their efforts. And finds herself going through her friends things on the Calnus.

4) Feels at this point she'll take love where she can get it, since Edge is most assuredly, at her canon point, not going to return her affection.

5) Likes Nura a little more than friends but is respectful enough not to get anywhere past that.

6) She can hit a fly from 500 paces with a bow. blindfolded. and aiming at the sky. She's that good.

Re: Reimi

6) Okay, but can she hit a bullet with a smaller bullet while wearing a blindfold and riding a horse?

-He actually is in love with Sofia. But he's fairly certain that any attempt at a relationship is doomed to failure. The way she left shattered what trust he had in her. Still, even knowing that, he's tempted to enjoy the ride down anyway.

-He actually did develop feelings for Kara, and regrets how all of that ended.

-He still detests the Young Avengers on principle alone. But in the wake of Cassie's death, his feelings aren't as harsh towards them as they used to be. He's also now gone from disliking Kate (but wanting to bone her) to being unsure what to think (...but still wanting to bone her).

-If he were to ever sleep with a dude, it wouldn't be with Kon. He's too much like a brother.

-He likes being on the ship more than he does being at Xavier's, and if they could restore their homes, he's not sure he'd even want to go back.

-He does have a crush on Wyn, largely because they could snark at each other for hours. Cally, Honey, he misses snarking at you.

Will most likely include death. Maybe torture again.

-Plays used to be a gangbanger, at least until his first change.

-His first change involved tearing a few people apart. They'd decided to screw with him on the wrong day, apparently.

-He's been fighting his own little war since he was fifteen. He's seen friends die, killed with his bare claws and been through hell a couple of times. He'd like to get out, but before he got grabbed, he was increasingly feeling the pressure and starting to think they were never going to win and that all of them were going to die.

-His cynical attitude has carried over. He doesn't think they're going to win and is pretty sure he's going to end up dead fighting the Ohm.

-He's unsure of his Rage and his temper and is very careful around Kate and his other friends - he doesn't want to go berserk on them and end up hurting them.

She never wanted to learn bloodbending, and still hates how it was taught to her. The very fact that Aang and Sokka could have hurt each because of what Hama did still scares the bejeesus out if her.

Regrets acting like the biggest brat in the world when their father joined them. She finally regret her actions when Zuko first joined them, though even HE would admit he had it coming.

Regrets being horrible to Jet now, since she had such little time to see the good in him before it was snuffed out.

If there had been a way to stop Azula from becoming what she was, she would have at least tried. It was like what thought when talking to Mai: it was easier hating Azula when she acted inhuman.

SERIOUSLY regrets giving Aang the run around toward the end of their journey to face the Firelord, especially during the time they saw the Players.

Secretly was always happy having a mother figure somewhere. This is lessened now because they always see to be taken away from her.

Though she was put in jail for participating in the Yeerk scramble, she was glad in the end, because she thinks she met some good people in the brig with her.

The first thing that ever made her interested in the Bene Gesserit was seeing Sheeana dance the Weirding way. Dancing is still something she enjoys to this day.

She doesn't regret training with the Bene Gesserit.
She DOES regret the wedge it created between her and her brother, and that she dived headlong into it without thinking completely of the consequences.

She feels like she doesn't have her brother around anymore and though she puts on a brave face, it is killing her quite a bit. It didn't help when he was podded and she replayed their arguments over and over again in her head.

She misses Carol Davers a lot.

There was a time where she had girlfriends her age to hang with and gossip with. She misses that a lot.

Training and meditation has been something of a balm for many of the things that stress her out, and there are so many, many things.

Since her friends/family have been podded, the punishment and various other things, Katara is harboring secret resentment for Stacy.

Because Asuna is around and she's seen his memories, Katara intentionally backed off going to the W.I.T.C.H. bus. She had an idea that Asuna might resent not being Negi's sister, no matter how opposed to the idea Asuna might appear.

Two major occurrences stopped Katara from being a basket case by now:

Being with Matt has literally stopped her from breaking down every time a pod pop brought no Aang. She's talked about Aang ever since getting on the ship, and after everything and waiting, the ship took Aang back, twice. The first time she forgot, the second she did, and then she remembered both times
later. It tolled quite heavily on her, and had she not met Matt, she wouldn't even think she would be capable of loving like that again.

Billy and Renne have been her rock for awhile, and most recently Billy. The best thing about them is that they've helped each other out in rough situations. The Bond was strong enough that Katara realized in their eyes that she was strong, and it has helped her stay that way, even when Renne was podded. Billy and Katara still share an empathic Bond now, but they can still operate without it interfering with their lives
in a negative way.

She still wants to see Aang, but that happening now would be FUBAR in a major way, and in the back of her mind she knows this, especially with most of the people from her world being brought back.

She knows there's no contest if it was a choice.

And she hates herself for it.

-If she could? Would totally use the sacred tome to bring Overlord Zetta's body back. She actually has grown to care about him.

-VERY susceptible to flattery. While being motherly and sisterly is nice and all, it definitely helps her self esteem to be told she's pretty.

1. Her mom left her when she was a baby. Her dad was sent to prison when she was around 5. Her aunt and uncle raised her for the years her dad was gone. Her uncle really didn't like her father and while the snide comments mostly went over her head she picked up on the sentiments.
2. She was born with a congenital heart defect. At 9, shortly after her dad got out of prison, she almost died. The only cardiologist who could perform the operation (in the world) was kidnapped and her dad stole super hero outfit to free the cardiologist so he could save his daughter.
3. It only took her a few months to figure out her father was Ant-Man.
4. Will always think of Iron Man as "Uncle Tony." Her father was one of Tony's good friends. Headcanon is he visited her a few times in the hospital since they both had heart conditions.
5. At the Oracle Inc. headquarters she was messing around in the basement and unlocked a very hidden program detailing an attack on Atlantis. Despite the fact that she was 11-12 at the time. She's kind of a technical genius and doesn't know it.
6. The Absorbing Android literally absorbed her inside its body and started attacking people. She was able to shut it down after her dad gave her a pep talk.
7. She spent time with the Fantastic Four while Mr. Fantastic was presumed dead. Her dad took on a temp job there. She declared that she wanted to be the Invisible Woman. She also had a huge crush on Johnny Storm. But not nearly as big as the one she had on Kristoff Vernard, Dr. Doom's adopted son. He was her first boyfriend, although they never actually told each other about their crushes. It was pretty obvious to everyone.
8. Shortly after her father joined the Avengers her mom came from out of nowhere, sued for custody of Cassie, and won solely because Cassie's father was a superhero. This happened after over a decade of no contact at all.
9. Cassie's mother and her new husband were physically abusive. Nothing severe but when they'd start arguing they would smack her hard across the face, grab her, and throw her around a little. There was a lot of yelling in that house. Because Cassie knew her relationship with her dad was unusually close she figured that this was normal and what most everyone else went through at home.
10. When she was in middle school she was held hostage by a man who'd killed his daughter. She probably would have been killed if her father and Jack of Hearts hadn't saved her. She still has nightmares about it.
11. When her father died she felt like she'd lost everything. Not only was he gone but her Avenger parent figures didn't talk to her (Tony Stark ignored her). And she couldn't stand living with her mom and step-father, especially when her step-father wasn't sympathetic about her losing her dad.
12. If she hadn't run into the Young Avengers she would have gone to try to join the Runaways. This would not have ended well.
13. She got her powers by stealing her father's pym particles and using them. Repeatedly. You could make some drug use jokes here.
14. If Billy and Teddy hadn't disappeared, she would have fought to keep Iron Lad from leaving. Fuck the timeline.
15. She was confused about her decision to join the registration side for Civil War, although she was outwardly emphatic that it was the right choice. She didn't want to fight people she considered family. She didn't think her father would want her to go to jail and she thought the whole thing was stupid. In the end she trusted Tony more than she trusted Cap but he quickly forgot about her, which made her wonder if Cap was right all along. She feels horrible about leaving her team.
16. She was kidnapped and put on display by the Puppetmaster. She would have been sold as a sex slave if Ms. Marvel hadn't freed her. Why did Ms. Marvel come there? Oh yeah, to save her sidekick. No one cared enough (including Stark) to look for and rescue her.
17. Even though he started off looking like Tony Stark and they were attacked by AIM, she enjoyed her first date with Jonas. Mainly because he kissed her at the end. That was hot. And confusing. But hot.

On the meatship
18. Always thought that everyone would remember her bursting into tears at the Meat and Greet after she podpopped and would forever think of her a sniveling brat.
19. Spent most of her time learning how to take things apart. She'd worked up to deactivating bombs. It's mentioned throughout several of her posts so I could cackle over it.
20. She felt ashamed of the fact that her dream for the Nightmare King was really similar to her old life. She wonders if she would have almost killed herself if she life continued as it was back home like she did in the dream.
21. Right before she died she realized that she loved Jonas more than Nate. She wished she hadn't ever broken up with him and hurt him but at the same time she was incredibly grateful that she got a second chance with Nate.
22. When she realized the bomb exploded she was terrified. No coming to peace with the fact that she was about to die.
23. If it weren't for her friends linefacing she would have lived in the Sensoriums with her fake dad.

Embarrassing stuff
24. She likes Taylor Swift and Britney Spears.
25. She has a thing for bad boys who are really good with gadgets. Bonus points for metal.
26. Before she got a boob growth spurt she was REALLY jealous of Kate's ample bosom.
27. Had a huge crush on Spider-Man.

Steve has the worst life ever.

- Steve's father worked for the Umbrella Corporation but was caught selling company secrets. As a result, an Umbrella strike team attacked the Burnside home.

- Steve watched his mother die from a gunshot in the head during the aforementioned incident.

- Steve and his father were imprisoned on Umbrella's Rockfort Island for well over four months, where they were starved, mistreated, and narrowly avoided being tortured to death or becoming guinea pigs for twisted experiments.

- Steve's father became a zombie and attacked Claire, forcing Steve to shoot his father in the face.

- Steve shot Alfred Ashford, causing his death.

- Steve was injected with the T-Veronica virus by Alexia Ashford, mutated into a horrible monster and tried to kill Claire on Alexia's orders. He resisted and ended up saving her life, but Alexia impaled him with one of her tentacles and he died as a result.

- After Steve's death, he was taken by Wesker and his body was used to cultivate the T-Veronica virus for sale on the black market.

- Steve, until recently, was madly in love with Claire Redfield.

- Steve is currently in love with Miku.

- Steve is a virgin and completely embarrassed/clueless about how in the hell he is to proceed from here.

- Luis knowingly worked for Los Illuminados, a terrorist organization/cult that caused the outbreak of Las Plagas in his hometown of Pueblo, Spain. The outbreak killed the entire population of the town, including Luis' grandfather and his only family member.

- As a result of his experiments and research, Las Plagas was strengthened and made more difficult to cure. It is still a black-market bioweapon used by terrorist groups. It has killed thousands of people worldwide.

- Luis blames himself for every single one of those deaths. His guilt is so great that at times he wishes he had not come back to life, and fears that he can never do enough good to make up for his sins.

- Luis betrayed Los Illuminados in the end in order to help Leon, but he was killed by the leader, Saddler, who shoved a 30 foot wang tentacle through Luis' chest. He fully believes he completely deserved it.

- Luis has only slept with Trudy so far, though he desperately wants to expand that list. Currently has eyes on: Pepper and Scarlet.

- He's very satisfied with his friends with benefits position with Trudy, but is stepping carefully because he's afraid she might fall for him (he's got a bit of an ego that way.)

- He actually has a bit of a crush on Scarlet, but from what he knows about her he thinks he doesn't have a chance at anything more than a one night stand with her because of his commitmentphobia.

1. Feldt lost her mother and father when she was just a baby. She didn't even know their names. She just knows that they were killed in an accident with some of the older Gundams.

2. Feldt wears her hair in a ponytail in honor of Christina Sierra, one of her friends who was killed in action. She used to wear her hair in pigtails but changed it once Christina died.

3. Feldt once had a huge crush on Lockon Stratos. She liked his easygoing personality and it didn't hurt that he was rather cute. She shared the secret about her parent's death with him and he shared his real name with her. When she met Lyle, Neil's twin brother, these feelings resurfaced, but she realized that Lyle wasn't Neil.

4. Feldt now has strong feelings for one Setsuna F. Seiei. She has made him promise not to die and gave him a flower as a sort of good luck charm. She's not sure how to tell him how she feels, but she'll do what she can to help him out, even if she can't fight.

- Hiccup's notebook, oh, his notebook. Aside from being his diary and being full of technical drawings and observations and drawings of things, he has so much embarrassing stuff in there. Among other things, there are:

1) Near-nude drawings of Astrid. Kinda pinup-like, but of the Viking warrior babe variety. She's seen them after nosing through, and there was a slight tiff they had over it, so he's been respectful since and not drawn his little teenage boy fantasies, but this is most definitely not common knowledge, and he'd be mortally embarrassed if people knew. He still draws her a lot in general, though, and some drawings still verge a bit on the hormonal.

2) Very hormonally-charged writing. There is sexy stuff in the writings in his notebook because that's where all his private teenage boy thoughts go and a huge proportion of those thoughts, yes, do have to do with sex. It's kinda like he gets it all out in the notebook so it doesn't occupy his thoughts too much in the day to day. Internally, he's about as perverted as many teenage boys are and has spent way, way too much time thinking--and sometimes writing about--Astrid's hips and muscular arms.

3) On the mushier, more romantic end, there are embarrassingly bad half-written "maiden-songs" (Viking love poetry) in there, that might pooossibly be about Astrid and how wonderful she is. He's really a lot more lovesick than he's let on to even her. He really, really cares about her, and they've been dating like 7-8 solid in-game months now, and he's now starting to go beyond teenage infatuation and into the first stages of falling in love. He's afraid she doesn't have the same depth of feeling for him. He writes about these worries sometimes, in between the poems.

4) Drawings of a lot of people on the ship. Yes, guys, he's been drawing a lot of you without your knowing.

- He has a horned helmet that was brought on board from home. He doesn't wear it often, but he doesn't intend to ever let go of it. It's made of half of his mother's breastplate.

- While he obviously would've preferred it never happened, a weird part of him is perversely thankful for at least one thing being abused by his fake dad on the mission taught him. Any lasting regrets or bitterness towards his father completely disappeared, because having a parent that awful made him look at his real father, and the fact that his real father loved him dearly and ultimately was willing to admit his mistakes and try to be a better father was made a lot more clear in his mind. He isn't acting like his false life didn't bother him because he's in shock or repressing it. It actually doesn't bother him, because he has healthy enough self esteem now that he can dismiss all the things Jerry tried to drill into his head as bullshit, and he's treating the whole thing as just a reminder of what a real father is like and how much Stoick loves him.

He even thinks it's slightly dysfunctional, but after going through the mission, he's actually more at peace now with his relationship with Stoick than he was before going on it. He forgives him now.

- He thinks he's going to die during the course of the war with the Ohm. He has too much catching up to do as a fighter, and he thinks he's weaker than many others on board. Oh sure, he can find a way to contribute and he's doing that, and he thinks he'll help accomplish quite a lot of good, but he thinks that a lot of the crew is going to die, and that it's highly likely he'll be one of those people that does. He's not too shaken up about it or fatalistic or anything. If he survives, great! If he dies in battle, hey, best way possible to go, right? Dying while fighting, you know, he's a Viking. That's an occupational hazard, right there. So he thinks that, but it's not a big deal. He'll enjoy his life as much as he can in the meantime, try his best to help, try his best not to die, and if it does happen, he plans to try to do it with dignity. It's actually not a bad attitude to have, because he's ready if it does happen, and if he's proven wrong, that's a great thing to be proven wrong about.

- Probably not a huge secret, as far as things go, but she's a pretty jealous lady. Kon's flirting with everything that had a pulse only made it worse.

- Tana's pretty sure that her parents and brother are disappointed in the fact she obliterated her accent so that she could be more accepted in the mainland and as a journalist. But she's ridiculously proud of both of her heritages.

- She's taken lessons in traditional dance, when she was a kid. She can even still kind of do it.

- Her hips don't lie.

- She is not sorry that 90% of her off-work wardrobe consists of bikinis, tube tops and daisy dukes. She lived in Hawaii, deal with it. However, what is secret is she sunbathed in the nude, which is why she has no tan lines. She stopped when the Kid moved to the islands.

It was for his own good.

- Tana hasn't really come to terms with the fact she's died yet. And she isn't sure she really wants to.

- She is still in love with Kon.

1. He really doesn't give a damn what people think about him unless they're one of a select few (Nura, Salu, probably Lyle).
2. Is actually nice compared to most Coluans.
3. Was bullied and ostracized while growing up, partly because people thought of him as too soft and caring. They also took this to mean he was intellectually inferior. As a result, if he views someone as an intellectual rival or threat he will hate them and try to sabotage them.
4. The Coluans had an entire world of microscopic people work as slaves for them. Querl freed them and was exiled for it. He then proceeded to use their idolization of him to... have them work for him. Uh, at least he gave them more breaks?
5. Salu was probably the closest thing he had to a friend.
6. He keeps his hair cut short to go against tradition. Coluans usually wear their hair long.
7. His mother was a genius even among Coluans.
8. The majority of Coluans (including Querl's mother) were infected with a virus that caused them to lose their intelligence (think drooling, flailing around mindlessly, etc). He was able to stop Lemnos, the person responsible, from infecting more but couldn't undo the damage (although it became one of his projects).
9. When confronting the Lemnos for what he called the genocide of his people, Querl said that Lemnos would "pay for what he did to him [Querl]." This is a perfect illustration of how Querl thinks.
10. He considered Cosmic Boy, the leader of the Legion, his chief rival and strongly disliked him. He also couldn't help but think of him as sexually attractive.
11. Might have briefly been interested in Lyle as more than a friend.
12. Carried a huuuuge torch for Nura that he was unable to admit until after her death. When she died he became obsessed and became "a grave robbing necrophiliac." He took her corpse, preserved it, grabbed some Legion members and tried to bring her back to life. It sort of worked. Though Nura no longer had a physical body she could visit him in his dreams.
13. Though he doesn't care much about people on an individual level, he does care about people on a general one.
14. He joined the Legion as one big FRAK YOU to his people, to prove he didn't need them, and to prove that he was smarter than all of them.
15. He may not like you and he might be willing to cut off your arm if he has to, but he won't send someone to their deaths or let them die unless every other option has been exhausted.
16. Will never admit it but he misses his mother and hopes she is on board.
17. Tried to stage a coup against Cosmic Boy so he could take over the Legion.
18. He didn't think Nura was interested in him and had resigned himself to the fact that he was never going to get laid. The only time ever he was happy to be wrong.
19. Is totally going to lord the fact that he has a hot wife from the future and is getting laid regularly over the crew. ...Oh wait, this is supposed to be secrets.

RED Medic

[identity profile] uebercharge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
...just some references to general history and war. Headcanon-alert, though.

* Medic's birthday has been set to the same day as a certain event in German history (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_hall_putsch).

* He kind of learned that humans make awesome test animals and generally have no rights at all at his parent's work place, the KZ Dachau.

* Medic has no real medical degree. It's all mere experience and learning-by-doing.

* His mother taught him to play the violin.

* He'd never admit it, but he sometimes misses a real instrument. Bonesaws just don't play so well...

* He fought in WWII for several years before getting captured.

* He still has the tiny blood type tattoo on the inside of his left upper arm.

* Medic not only signed a contract to not tell his name to anyone, he actually refuses to use it by now.

* Thanks to being a prime target to Snipers and Spies, Medic is extremely paranoid and always expects to get attacked.

* So far he died several thousands times in probably every possible way. But thanks to respawn, death, while still unpleasant, has become an almost mundane thing.

* He is mostly unable of normal human interaction. He simply doesn't like humans. Or talking to them. Or interacting with them as long as interacting does not include at least one sharp blade.

* He usually doesn't sleep enough and mostly lives from coffee. Not healthy but... Bleh. You try telling him.

None of these are really secrets but...
1. She threw a rock at Visser Three. It hit him in the face.
2. Her father left after the Vietnam war when he couldn't transition back into society.
3. She was abducted by aliens and fell in love with Elfangor the my blue space pony while on a big space adventure through time and the galaxy.
4. With Elfangor and Visser Three she created an alternate reality based on their memories.
5. Had to take a spray bottle to Elfangor to get him to stop playing around with mouth noises and eating things. It was getting really hard to explain away. Desperate times.
6. Is hoping that after this is over Elfangor will permanently morph human so she can ah... have fun with him for more than two hours at a time.

I'M BEING CONTROLLED BY A- oh wait...

[identity profile] ayasofia.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
1. Sofia's mother was killed by crossfire while buying a necklace for her.
2. She's the product of a fling between a wealthy US business owner and a Venezuelan. Her father didn't even know she existed until after her mother died and her uncle shipped her away.
3. Her uncle sent her to live with her father because he didn't have the "patience" to raise a mutant.
4. She heard about her mother's death and her uncle's decision to send her away by eavesdropping using her powers.
5. She loves her three cousins and uncle more than life itself. But she hasn't seen them and her uncle hasn't wanted her back since he first sent her away.
6. Her father didn't care about her at all. She was shunned at school. One day she went into one of her father's stores and used her wind powers to wreck the place. She was arrested but not charged. Her father was going to do a second DNA test on her, have the results faked so it'd say she wasn't his child, and send her back to Venezuela. Instead Dani Moonstar took her to Xavier's.
7. She absolutely loved Xavier's. While most of the people she knew had been more or less accepting of the fact she was a mutant she didn't have to worry about what people were saying behind her back.
8. Her squad became a family to her.
9. She had no idea what to do when she lost her powers. Frost kicked her out. Her father didn't want her and she'd just lost a major part of her identity as well as her connections to her family. When she left, it wasn't just Julian she didn't say goodbye to but most of her friends (except her teammates).
10. She barely made it a week when she returned to her father's house. She hitchhiked back to New York. After calling Laurie's mother she found out most of her friends were dead. She's blocked out most of the experience.
11. She lived with Laurie's mom until she could get back on her feet. She eventually found an apartment but there were times when she was homeless.
12. She tried to put her old life behind her. That changed when a team of some of depowered mutants were getting their asses handed to them by a supervillain group. When a boy got in the line of fire she jumped in to save him. The last thing she remembers is getting shot in the back. She assumes that she would have died if Stacy hadn't brought her here.
13. She believes Julian cares about her but she can't help but think he mostly just wants to play with people on the side. She finds that dishonest and selfish and she got a few broken ribs to prove it's not entirely harmless.
14. She really hopes things will work out with Billy. Or at least she'll find someone who will like her for her.
15. She's proud of her mutant identity. She recognizes more and more that what her family did was bigoted. But she's also really bitter that she was so easily tossed aside the moment she lost her powers.

1. He simultaneously thinks the universe of Elfangor and resents being trapped in his shadow.
2. He once ate and entire tray of Cinnabon cinnamon buns in his human morph. The EMTs had to be called.
3. Ax once spent three days pretending to be Jake while the Animorphs starved a Yeerk out of his head. Right under Iniss' nose. Shortly after that, Jake's parents took him to see a psychologist because they thought he'd had some sort of nervous break-down.
4. If given conflicting orders by Elfangor and Jake, Ax would obey Jake.
5. He once ran into a war hero so hard that the older Andalite fell over and bruised an eye-stalk.
6. He still retains the unfortunate Andalite views on people with disabilities -- namely, that they should keep themselves hidden to preserve what dignity they have left.
7. Shortly before Stacy picked him out of the timeline, he played a game of 'chicken' with a nuclear warhead and the Animorphs' home town.
8. His favorite TV shows are 'The Young and the Restless' and 'These Messages' (AKA commercials).
9. He could not bring himself to kill Visser Three's Andalite host when he had the opportunity, even though Alloran begged him to.
10. He once killed a T-Rex. The only reason he was able to was because it was distracted trying to eat Marco.
11. He is secretly impressed by how fast humans learn things. He will never, EVER admit this.
12. For all he is super-advanced by Earth standards, he's only a mediocre student. But he did NOT fall asleep in class (he just became restful and not very alert. Shut up, Marco).
13. He has eaten all of the following in human morph: dryer lint, vinegar, motor oil, cigarette butts, the box that movie popcorn comes in, pizza that may or may not have been taken from a garbage bin, various candies off the floor at a movie theater, a paper plate, and basically anything else that the other Animorphs didn't tell him not to first.
14. Things he have almost eaten include a plastic fork, Marco in fly morph, and a cow pie.
15. He once blew up an entire continent. No joke. He is also kind of responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Jamie McCrimmon - Death

[personal profile] bonnypiperlad 2011-01-22 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
- Has been a part of events that have led to the death of more than one person during the course of his travels with the Doctor. While it could be argued that some of them would have still died, it's fairly clear that the Doctor's interference has a distinctly fatal effect on those around him.

- On the flip side, being a part of those same events have saved countless numbers of people from certain death.

- Believes in the Phantom Piper. Clan legend holds that the Piper appears to a McCrimmon just before he is going to die. Jamie thought he saw the Piper once while suffering from a high fever, but it turned out to be a Cyberman instead. As long as the Piper doesn't reappear, Jamie thinks he'll survive the war.

- Nearly managed to re-write history so that Culloden never happened and he never wound up meeting the Doctor. As a result, he started to fade away in front of his own eyes. While this was fixed by the Time Lords, he still remembers what it feels like.

- Has been put under arrest, locked up or otherwise detained more times than he can count.

- Was in love with Victoria when she traveled in the TARDIS, but never admitted it to her, so nothing ever happened. Is not in love with Kaylee, but does have strong feelings for her. He was trying to work up the nerve to say something at the same time she started to get involved with Dean, but couldn't quite go through with it.

- Does have a healthy appreciation for many of the other women on the ship, and enjoyed that situation with the hot tub more than he's letting on - although he felt bad for Billy.

- Has deliberately been holding back his status as a Ranger from the Doctor. Not because he's not proud of his team, but that he's worried what the Doctor's reaction will be.

- Sherry's parents are not Leon and Claire, no matter how much she wants them to be. Her parents are William and Annette Birkin. They were evil virologists who loved their work, and loved their daughter, but ultimately chose their work over her.

- Sometimes Sherry worries that, because she is smart and likes science, she is going to turn out exactly like them.

- She was infected with the G-virus by her father, who chased her through a police station full of zombies for about a day and a half. Then, briefly, she was chased by Claire and her monster of a father through the police station at the same time. Sherry was ultimately cured with the DEVIL vaccine, but is under strict orders to never give blood. She carries antibodies now.

- Sherry is almost positive that she is going to have nightmares for the rest of her life, no matter how much she tries to grow past Raccoon City. These nightmares regularly feature being chased down and torn apart.

- Sherry pretty much loves Kon like a kid sister. She will never tell him this, and figures he already knows. If anyone were ever to hurt him, Sherry will find a way to hurt them.

No, Kon does not get a say in this.

- She met the Faun, knows he is dying, and cannot get the nerve up to do his requests and find his treasure.

- She hates being left by herself for more than a few hours at a time, despite the fact she also doesn't like most of the crew.

- A little part of her wishes that she could be like Kon, too. At least then she'd be useful.

1. She was the crowned princess of an entire planet. She ran away from home and eventually joined the Legion of Superheroes. She briefly retired on her father's orders, then abdicated in favor of her younger brother when she heard that her best friend was in danger.
2. Her father was convinced that she was in love with her best friend. He almost (although reluctantly) gave them his approval to date, fortunately Reep's real girlfriend was nearby and Jeka was able to introduce her as such.
3. The last Jeka remembers seeing of her team, they were all falling through the Bleed together with her. She hopes that means that they're all on board.
4. She used to simply look like an enormous snake. She got caught in an energy blast that caused her DNA to begin to unravel, and her friends had to ask the villain who caused the blast to save her life. He had to splice in some human DNA to do so, which is why she looks the way she does now.
5. She utterly loathes the way she looks now.
6. Prior to the whole "DNA unraveling" incident, she was a hell of a lot nicer to people.
7. She's ashamed of the above, because something similar happened to her other best friend, Candi; and yet Candi was one of the sweetest, loveliest people she's ever met.
8. She once almost killed (or at least seriously messed up) most of the Legion while she was unconscious and injured.
9. She is constantly doing a low-level empathy reading of everyone around her. She began doing this so that she'd have a constant reminder that other sentients were in fact their own beings and that she shouldn't mess with them for no reason.
10. In addition to her team, she hopes that her brother and father are in the Pod Caverns somewhere, as well as her mother who died when she was thirteen.
11. When she was trying out for the Legion, Jeka made an entire crowd of thousands people think that she was a humanoid because she was secretly worried they wouldn't let her in otherwise. This didn't even make her break a sweat.
12. She may or may not still be strictly carnivorous. She hasn't checked.
13. The first official Legion mission Jeka went on, she was knocked out briefly by a guy's tongue.
14. Robots were eventually declared to be sentient beings during her time with the Legion. She is really uncomfortable about the fact that she killed/destroyed robots prior to that.

- Has extreme guilt that she survived the crash of the Exodar, and her family apparently did not... this was then coupled with the fact that Azeroth and Draenor were both totally destroyed by the Ohm and she could not stop it.

- She has the biggest, most ridiculous crush on her banker in Shattrath. His name is ImageMendorn (http://www.wowwiki.com/index.php?title=Mendorn&image=Mendorn-jpg) and he has an eyepatch. She has dropped gems just to watch him pick them up. She thinks he is the sexiest thing on two hooves.

- Nehaalista is engaged on a pure technicality. In the event she finds no suitable mate (and this is a high possibility), she was to marry her fellow and long time partner Vindicator Kinase. Despite the fact he prefers men.

- Sometimes, despite being pro-Draenei relations, she finds human men attractive. Then she feels kind of dirty.

- ...can tie a berry stem in a knot. Did not get why that was such an amazing thing to her fellow initiates.

- Still does not get it.

- Nehaalista thinks she might be sexually repressed and feels that, while in Fairplay as a human, she might've liked what she did a little too much.

2. He was worn briefly by Kang the Conqueror (AKA Nate Richards' future self) after the Vision programming was downloaded into the armor. There is a part of him that is an evil world-conquering crazy-pants murderer.
3. He loves the Beatles.
4. He would literally give anything to have Cassie back alive again.
5. Talking to Wanda is super-awkward because he has the memory files of the original Vision. He knows everything the original knew, including what Wanda looks like naked and sexy.
6. He has only barely restrained himself from pummeling the various incarnations of Iron Man that have come out of the Pod Caverns. Barely.
7. He strongly dislikes all of the Pro-Registration heroes, not just because of their policies and because they threw one of his friends in what was essentially Azkaban prison, but because they cannot seem to be bothered to keep track of Cassie Lang even when she turned to their side.
8. He feels terrible about Kawalsky's death, but he'd kill Shiva again in a heartbeat. He also feels bad about that.
9. That red diamond on his chest? That is in fact a hole in his uniform. He put it there to try to get attention from Cassie.
10. He has never sneaked into Cassie's room to watch her sleep. All of his stalking took place while she was conscious. A guy has got to have standards.

2. He worries pretty much endlessly that he was brought along as Jaime's "friends and family" and that his mother and sisters and brother aren't in the Pods.
3. He's not telling Jaime about Sub-Visser Seven or that the two of them are from slightly different realities.
4. Just because they're from slightly different realities doesn't mean that Paco isn't as fiercely devoted to this Jaime as the first one.
5. He's really bummed out about the way his and Kate's relationship went, but he's happy that she and Plays are getting along so well.
6. He still has nightmares about the things Sub-Visser Seven tried to do.
7. He really did like Brenda's aunt better when he found out that she had Brenda's abusive father killed and made it look like an accident. He is not even remotely ashamed of this.
8. One of his lifelong ambitions is to motorboat Power Girl. He knows that she'd kill him if he ever tried, but thinks that it might be worth it.
9. He takes his self-declared position as sidekick very seriously. It's his job to make sure that Jaime gets through all this crap okay and he is damn well going to do it.
10. His first name is actually "Francisco", after an uncle of his. Said uncle is an utter jackass.
11. He really adores Sherry and thinks of her like a younger sister. It helps him not miss his own so much.
12. He really was flunking his Spanish class. But he maintains that the teacher had it out for him.

--Yeah, under the auspices of his former employer, he helped murder a family of people who were slaveholders, then helped cover it up and make it look like an accident. While he's not entirely proud of it, it helped someone he cared about, so in his mind, it worked out.

--He actually likes crossdressing, and does it in the privacy of his own lab down in the City. Which is, to a degree, why he doesn't get out much. "Stephanie" will break people's brains, he's sure.

Thom of Trebond

[personal profile] gifthasacold 2011-01-22 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
- He really is (currently) the most powerful sorcerer in his kingdom. He also really is the youngest to ever achieve his Mastery.

- He holds nothing but contempt for the rest of the Masters, because of their inability to realize he was playing stupid during his tenure at the City of the Gods.

- Duke Roger fascinated him during his visit to the City of the Gods. Roger was the only man Thom ever met who could have posed a real challenge to him in terms of power.

- If Duke Roger had played his cards right and not tried to kill Thom's sister, Thom could have easily been swayed to his side, and probably into his bed as well.

- Thom doesn't care that Roger tried to usurp the throne. He only cares that Roger tried to kill his twin.

- He raised Duke Roger from the grave. To this day he doesn't know why. It is because he had a destructive rivalry-crush on the man, and because he was desperate to have someone alive who could be his equal.

- Thom prefers men. This is not exactly taboo in his world, but Thom is also the Lord of Trebond, and would have been required to produce an heir to the fief, so he has kept silent about it. This is one of the many things that fuels his general dislike of everyone - they are free to pursue who they will. Thom is not.

- Thom's magic is barely within his control because in the act of raising Roger, he absorbed Roger's Gift. Thus he carries two of the most powerful Gifts ever discovered, more power than anyone should have access to and still be alive.

[identity profile] i-saw-myself.livejournal.com 2011-01-23 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
That would be why raising the dead is a bad idea. In general. How, if you're the most powerful smartest...whatever, were you not smart enough to see why that might not be the best idea? When is raising the dead ever a good idea?
