NAKED MEME
Suddenly.
You are naked.
All of you. Even you, over there, the already naked guy.
Except for one thing.
You all have fig leaves over your privates. They cannot be removed or destroyed. They are large enough to cover everything. (They might itch a little)
Oh, and even already naked people with no visible privates will have the leaves, either over their naughty bits' actual locations, or just where they should be.

::Chirp. With his complete lack of "naughty bits" in any sense of the word (Gotta love being androgynous, no?!), the fig leaves had ended up...basically in places just about an inch behind his ears. Were he not an albino of his kind, a pair of head-crests would be where said leaves are::
no subject
I'm sorry about that. This is just...uncomfortable.
no subject
::Chirp. Oh, is that the sound of water? He'll be crawling carefully toward it and your voice, Billy::
no subject
[He's going to lean against the shore bank, letting the upper half of his torso remain exposed to the air.]
no subject
::Squeak. Well...he'll dip his big feet in::
no subject
[Gulp.] We have fig leaves covering our sexual organs at the moment, but I've never been comfortable this way.
no subject
::Chirp. Sniff-nudge::
Con-cept, strange. In Origin, to wear clo-thing is sign of pro-fes-sion, but more. To make clo-thing Solid...that thee may not see through clo-thing, in Origin, speaks of De-ceit. Of Un-truths hidden.
::Now you know why Renne's never dressed in all that much::

To your people, hiding with clothing was a sign that intentions were hidden as well. There's an understandable logic to that.
no subject
::Purr. Likely unsurprising but yes, he gets an ear-skritch when Renne can find said ear::

As you said, it provides protection. On my former world, it was too cold to walk around naked for most of the year. It's also practical to wear clothes to protect our bodies from excessive sunlight, dangerous chemicals in the lab, and dirt and rain flying through the air.
Different clothing is suitable for different tasks. We all have a uniform on the ship, and ships on my world also had uniforms to show who the crew members were. There are casual clothes for children playing, formal eye-catching outfits for important social events, and clothes designed to draw attention to each other sexually. It's complicated---my other friends would know more about it than I would. I've never been fashion-conscious.

The Great-Warmth of thy world is dan-ger to thee? How?
no subject
We need small amounts of exposure to our sun to trigger our bodies to produce vital vitamins. If we stay out in the sun too long, though, the light radiating from the sun damages the cells that make up our skin. In the long term, that can lead to illness and death.
no subject
::Blush. He's just so blasted curious.::
no subject
We've also invented shielding substances called sunscreen to apply to our skin.
[He wishes he had some right now. He'll probably come back to the ship burned all over. How pleasant.]
no subject
::There's a small frown then. For some reason, it comes across to him as Earth being a very, very cold place:
no subject
[There's a small ear-tickle then, trying to avoid the leaves.]
no subject
Ah. They are too...what is word...? Al-bi-no of thy world?
no subject
[Small laugh. When he's sure no one's looking, he clambers out of the water and sits in the shade next to Renne.]
no subject
::Ear-flick. That look? Prelude to "Fascinated! Wanna know MORE!"::
no subject
[Oh, Renne's curious about him again is he? Huh.]
no subject
Ahh. Thee have ar-mour a-gainst Warmth, if Warmth grow too strong, yes?
::Curious and protective::
no subject
[That gets a hair-ruffle. Thanks for worrying, buddy.]
no subject
What is it, that cre-ates Disharmony to thee, from Warmth?
no subject
[Honestly, though, he'd be happy to have any clothes at the moment. Even in black.]
no subject
::Chirp. He's got that look on his face still. Bee wants a set of clothes? Imp's already attempting to figure out how to arrange that::
